Lonesome Rose is one of the most underrated spots in Chicago in my opinion. I’ve never had a bad experience here. This is an ideal brunch destination as I think they have the best breakfast burrito in town. Perfectly packed, holds together well, and the queso dip on the side compliments it so well. Their biscuits and gravy and fish tacos would be my other top choices. Well worth checking out!

My girlfriend and I had two different versions of the burritos and they were different than any other burritos I've ever had in a good way. The bartender was super cool and we tried five different cocktails four margaritas and a spin on a piña colada all of which are great.

5 stars for Tyler the PM bartender Knowledgeable and charismatic. I also really appreciate that he asked if we had food allergies when taking our order. We arrived late evening seating in the main dining area was closed so we sat at the bar. It was a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered to go. The food was delicious. Very flavorful. I would describe it as Mexican Fusion. We ordered a Baja Burrito and a Spicy Chicken Burrito Baja was pleasantly seasoned and did not taste very fishy. Chicken was great. It was spicy and had plenty of cheese. Very good!

These brisket fries I had were like a meal, so good, definitely would share as an appetizer next time with friends. Went for happy hour, loved the $8 frozen margarit, do the swirl! Bar tenders, think names were Shawn and Tyler, were great, if you ever go, ask Tyler something dumb, dude is hilarious! Great service, great time! Good place for a date or to hang with friends for sure!

A boujee Mexican place with hip menu additions and a nice restaurant vibe. The food here is great some of the best queso I’ve ever had and the bowls were great and fresh. Bloody Mary is oystery but good none the less. A bit more expensive than you’d expect but I’d go back again.

For what it is, it’s a solid 4.5 but will round up. I only have a slight issue with their margaritas- they taste great but there’s so much ice in it making them pretty small for the price imo. More like HH size. Regarding the food, everything we’ve had has been good and the quesorito burrito is very solid. Great sauces as well and an overall good neighborhood spot

Very unique place, burrito was really good. The presentation was nice. Place was good, nice art on the wall. Pretty cool how this place has a separate bar downstairs too!! The upstairs of the place was really nice and clean too, just didn’t have a chance to sit up there. Would highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area.

Nice lil gem that I had never noticed! Excellent food and great service. Sat at the bar, where they were very attentive and VERY busy, and had some beautiful mezcal margaritas. I also tried the slushy of the day. Pictured is their cherry limeade - SO good. We got the specials. 🫠 super interesting prawn dish and the torta was awesome too. Would love try more in the future!

Could not get a table for dinner yesterday, so went for lunch with the family. Book online as they’re busy during weekends. The cocktails were great. Tacos are delicious and the garbanzo bowl was tasty and filling. The creamed corn , watermelon salad, vegan street nachos ( amazing taste)and guacamole were delicious too. The taco ice cream and mini churros finished the meal very well. However we had to wait for a long time for the food. Cameron who served us was kind and apologised for the delay. All in all a great venue. It’s close to California station on the blue line metro

Stopped in for a weekend afternoon top off before dinner (hey that's a thing in my world). Got the vegan cheese nachos and I'm a cheese guy and would have gladly eaten a second platter of these. Fish taco was quite tasty (ranked over the Al pastor). Cute patio off the side street. Friendly service. Good experience all around.

Amazing!!! Food was excellent, service was great, and atmosphere was cozy. We have cocktails as well and they were both delicious. They have a vast selection of liquors for whatever you are into. Would happily stop back for food or just drinks any time.
