Fantastic vegetarian and vegan options. Their tofu is excellent -- firm and flavorful and not at all greasy -- and available as a protein option for nearly all dishes (they also offer grilled veggies and guacamole, as well as my wife’s favorite option, fried avocado). I love the Tofu Bowl, which is affordable, relatively healthy, and just filling enough. Open late, so perfect for a bite after a concert at Metro or nighttime Cubs game. Friendly customer service. Pleasant dining area. And don't forget to add their outstanding churros and fried plantains (order the latter without cheese if you want them vegan). If you are ordering delivery, order direct from the restaurant: you can get points and periodic discount offers, and you get more money to the restaurant.

Swung by La Mexicana Grill after a Cubs game—figured I'd grab a bite before heading home. Ordered the California burrito and some churros, totaling around $22. The burrito was hefty, packed with flavor, but the churros were a letdown—kinda soggy and lacked that crispy edge I was craving. Place has a chill vibe, and the staff were friendly, but the wait was longer than expected for a counter-service spot. It's convenient if you're in Wrigleyville and need a late-night fix, but I wouldn't go out of my way. Decent, but not mind-blowing.
