“One of my favorite parts of the meal is sitting down then the chips and sauces show up”
The best part of this place was the decor.
Came for a Mexican restaurant experience. I got a mostly empty restaurant, with no music, and disappointing food.
If i was rating this 2 years ago I would say 5 stars but over time this place is just going down the drain literally nothing taste the same coming from someone who grew up eating here/ parents grew up eating here this was my go to place.I wanted to eat here once a week if that never loved a restaurant so much but the quality of the food just is not the same the portions of food is not the same I never had an issue paying extra for something I know it’s delicious and eating here now just feels like a waste of money I wish the taste and quality and portions could be the same I hate how I always crave this and it’s never what it used to be .

“There are lots of Mexican restaurants around Chicago, but this is one of the best.”
There are lots of Mexican restaurants around Chicago, but this is one of the best. A few standouts: - Very nice, attentive service. - Absolutely wonderful outdoor patio during the summer, very fun casual vibe inside. - BYOB - Homemade, incredibly delicious hot sauce on every table. - They have a little dog named Wrigley. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is fantastic, the service is fantastic, and it's cheap. My only complaint is that more people don't know about this place. It's my favorite in the whole area, and it should be your neighborhood staple for dine in or carry out Mexican!

I've been to many Mexican Restaurants and this is in my opinion one of the best I've been to. The food is amazing, delicious and perfectly presented. Generally delicious Mexican cuisine. The service is also nice. I'll definitely visit here again when I'm in the area.

“I have been coming here for years.”
I have been coming here for years. The chips and Pico de Gallo are fantastic. We always start with the nachos. The food is fresh and made with love. The outdoor patio is beautiful. We also recommend the carnitas and pozole.

“A good experience there.”
A good experience there. Good food, good people on staff. I ordered a steak and chorizo burrito. Tasted good. The sauce I put on there was just hot / spicy enough for me. I'm sure they have one if you don't like spicy.

Tonight we dined at El Presidente, a quintessential family style Mexican joint meant to satiate you and your family (even the ole ball ‘n chain). I got the #5 combo, she got the steak burrito. Both were divine. Not to mention the chips and salsa! Beware of the red sauce…..

The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was made fresh. The dish servings are plentiful and delicious. They have some of the best Pico de Gallo and guacamole. I'll definitely return for more food.

“Nice little Mexican place.”
Nice little Mexican place. The interior is tasteful and was empty when i was there but it was still early in the morning that is probably why. The food came out fast and my burrito tasted quite good little too salty but it’s just my opinion. The only beef i have with the restaurant is they brought me a steak burrito instead of vegetarian like i asked. I’m not a vegetarian so i just ate it all good.

“This restaurant reminded me of the one I used to love as a kid.”
This restaurant reminded me of the one I used to love as a kid. Authentic food and aesthetically pleasing. We all who went ordered the combination dinner. Enchilada, taco, beans and rice, a tamale, and everything was amazing! I didn't even get a picture of the plate because I was busy devouring my meal. :)
