“The best tacos in the world ✋'s ⬇️. Nothing has changed but the day of the week. If I could eat here three times a week, I'd be thrilled. If I could review this place daily, I would—it deserves that much love. Been coming since my teen years, and these are hands down the best tacos ever. Every friend I've recommended it to agrees. I always get steak tacos with everything, no sour cream, but I’ve tried the whole menu, even the fries. My only complaint? It's not next door to my house because I’d go every day. Stop in and enjoy the best tacos in Chicago!”

“I want to be fair with this review because after reading the reviews below, it sounds like some of these people haven’t left the neighborhood hood and don’t actually have a great pallet for taste. Especially the person who claims to have been coming here for 30 years. The staff is very friendly, the lady up front at the register is very sweet and I truly appreciate the hospitality. Now let’s get to my order. 3 steak tacos and an order of chips and salsa. My chips were a little stale and unsalted which unfortunately is a little upsetting but the homemade salsa was great. The tacos However, were surprisingly a new experience for me. They were Presented very nicely and were very filling. As far as taste goes, I felt the steak did not have much seasoned flavor. It was kind of basic and what you would imagine a basic steak taco to taste like. But they were loaded up and did fill me up for lunch today. I did enjoy myself despite sitting at a table that was angled and leaning to the floor and the unsalted and stale chips. Maybe today was an off day for them today. Be sure the follow Jaliet Caprana on all music streaming platforms.”
“Soy mexicano, llegué a este lugar por primera vez con la intención de probar varias cosas pero la señora de anoche por la tarde me hizo perder todo el apetito con su actitud grosera y pasivo-agresiva. Trabajo en la industria restaurantera y sé perfectamente cómo se le debe hablar al cliente y como no. Primero que nada pregunté si el taco de pollo era de tinga o filete a la plancha es decir asado y la señora de muy mal modo me dice “es pollo hervido” whaaat? Como si eso lo explicara, ya no quise preguntarle más. Después pedí papas a la francesa como les llamamos de donde soy y la señora muy grosera contesta “y esas como son?” toda getona y mal modienta A lo cual mire de vuelta a su menú parar llamarlas papas fritas (que por cierto, pooor?) como en su menú lo lista, como sí fuera la unica manera universal de nombrar a las french fries. Perdí el apetito y ordené menos, con gente tan grosera y cerrada de mente tras el mostrador no dan ganas de ordenar ni de recomendar ni hablar bien de un lugar que por cierto usa tortillas con mal sabor.”

“Honestamente, mis tacos favoritos en toda la ciudad. Cuando vuelva a Chicago (Viví 11 años) va a ser el PRIMER sitio que visite. La primera vez que llegué allí pedí 2 al pastor y 2 de asada y nunca jamás probe nada más, porque nunca cambié mi orden. La mejor horchata, y un guacamole delicioso y fresco. Me encanta. 11/10.”

“This restaurant is an excellent representation for Mexican restaurants on this bland intersection (Fullerton, Halsted, etc) Allende is the place I go when Im hungry and need some true Mexican food. The cashier gets my order right every time and the food is DELICIOUS! My small gripe is they only accept card or cash, not the Apple Pay thing, but this is a small price to pay for the best tacos and milkiest horchata in Lincoln Park.”
