With a menu packed with creative and bold flavor combinations, I knew this would be a meal to remember. The first taco of the night was the Picnic Chicken taco, which offered a completely different yet equally satisfying experience. The rotisserie chicken was incredibly tender and packed with savory depth. The avocado crema added a silky richness, complementing the chicken perfectly. However, the warm honey-dijon potato salad. Its subtle sweetness and tangy kick made it feel like a complete, satisfying meal all on its own. Crispy chicken skin brought an irresistible crunch, while fresh cilantro added a bright note. All of these flavors came together in a soft flour tortilla, creating a perfectly balanced and unforgettable bite. Next came the Buffalo Chicken taco, and it was an absolute winner. It stole the show with its bold flavors and perfect texture balance. The crispy tenders were coated in a tangy, house-made buffalo sauce that provided just the right amount of heat. The sauce clung to the chicken, ensuring every bite was bursting with spicy flavor. Thinly sliced carrots brought a refreshing crunch, while the blue cheese crumbles added a sharp, creamy contrast to the heat. The ranch crema helped mellow out the spice with its cool, smooth texture. Wrapped in a warm flour tortilla, every bite was an explosion of flavor, spicy, creamy, and tangy, all working together in perfect harmony. The buffalo sauce paired with the cool ranch crema and bold blue cheese made this taco an undeniable favorite. I work nearby and was in the mood for something lighter for lunch, so I decided to try Velvet Taco—and I’m glad I did! I ordered the Chips and Guac, Elote style, and it was delicious. It only cost $7, and it was just the right amount to fill me up without making me feel too heavy before heading back to work. The flavor was amazing, and I’ll definitely return! The space also looks very clean and tidy which I appreciate in a Taco joint. The food options are super interesting and I can’t wait to return to try new items.

Velvet taco offers great food and fast service in a casual environment. I loved the unique offerings like the grilled salmon and spicy tikka chicken. While the environment is no frills it was fairly clean but it’s definitely a casual place. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town.
