“Combination of delicious tacos, margaritas, a nice patio, and great staff”

“My wife and I had a great time. The atmosphere and food were amazing. The staff was polite friendly and very helpful. They even had a Bachatta class that evening. Its a beautiful space to enjoy food and drinks or some drinks and dancing. We will definitely be back.”

“I really enjoy going Las Fuentes as it’s my go-to spot when I want a good margarita or Mexican food. In terms of food, this place has all of the traditional dishes you would expect and they do them well. One thing that surprised me is that my food was served to me still hot, which rarely happens at restaurants. As for the drinks, the margaritas are great. The only feedback I have for the restaurant is that the patio can become quite crowded during busy hours. Additionally, I would like to see a self-pay option where we can use our phones to scan a code and pay (for example, the Toast service offered this).”

“I came during brunch hours , I ordered the huevos Mexicano it was delicious perfectly cooked even the rice and beans were some of the best rice and beans I've ever had the beans had a slight sweetness the rice was perfectly tender. Nice atmosphere friendly service will definitely be back”

“Forgot who post this place on Facebook, but thanks you. We enjoyed ourselves after coming from the White Sox game. Food was on point, the outdoor layout was epic. My youngest Kokomo enjoyed the water fountain lol. Overall great place to eat, enjoyed the scenery.”

“Best margarita spot in Lincoln Park! The patio is so beautiful. I am a vegan and I ordered the veggie tacos, guacamole, and salsa. Everything was delicious!! The staff was so kind. My friends and I will definitely be going back for Margarita Mondays and Taco Tuesdays!”

“OG of LP. Classic good time spot. Good food, service and atmosphere.”

“Let me start off by saying the food was amazing! The patio area was really pretty as well and our server was good. There was a bit of miscommunication we arrived around 2:45ish and they give us a regular menu and a happy hour menu (started at 3pm) so we asked our server if we can order from the happy hour menu or need to wait until 3 he said we could. We get our bill and was charged the full price so we let him know and he said it wasn’t 3pm yet!! We specifically asked him and he said yes. That was frustrating so the hostess was able to discount our food. I don’t mind paying full price I eat out a lot and never have this issue happen before.”

“After seeing many videos of this place I decided to give it a try and I wish I hadn’t. I first had made a reservation but it was worth nothing since when we got in they just waved at us to just head outside and it was a total chaos the whole seating down trying to get between people dinning was insane you bumped people to get to your table they try to get so many tables for everybody to fit that it doesn’t work the waiter was literally reaching from our table to give others their drinks and that was just awful. Food was bad very Americans not Mexican tbh I had to go to the restroom to throw because it was weird. After that we just left didn’t enjoy the experience at all definitely wouldn’t return and parking situation is insane on the weekends.”

“Went there for a social dance night put on by Latin Street Music and Dancing (which was fun and probably the only thing keeping people going to Las Fuentes given the horrible food reviews) and was way overcharged for two of my drinks. Menu clearly shows a michelada is $11 and a beer is $7, which is what we ordered, and somehow we were charged $15 for one michelada (more than a cocktail or tequila drink? How?) and then charged another “normal” priced michelada instead of the beer. Unfortunately my friend paid the bill for our table and I didn’t notice til after we were already gone. Don’t get scammed like I did, review your bill for made up charges and overpriced drinks.”

“Ridiculous! -- The waitress got annoyed because I asked for salsa for my tacos. She made faces, rolled her eyes, and answered me very rudely; it was the owner's instructions!! So: No salsa for tacos but having "free salsa lessons" for real??? First time at a Mexican restaurant the tacos didn't come with any salsa!!.-- On top of everything she got the audacity to brought me the bill without asking the bill, as if to rush me out of the place. She was literally forcing me to close my account immediately. And all I could say was, "Thanks, not yet." -- Terrible experience!!! BTW. It's 28 dlls x 3 tacos.”

“I was here for a Latin dance social and they charge $5 for a 0.5 pint water bottle with no option for tap/water. That is insane. It’s robbery and it’s dangerous. To be a bar, selling alcohol, let alone hosting a social where people are dancing and sweating all night, and not offer water is DANGEROUS, and it is taking advantage of the consumer. FIVE DOLLARS for that tiny thing? Every single time? All night? People HAVE to drink water! Is this restaurant doing so awful that they have to take advantage of people like that? Do you really not make enough sales with your menu items that you have to resell tiny bottles of water at an insane mark up? Then DO BETTER, but don’t take advantage of people. You wouldn’t even see that kind of upsell anywhere in Las Vegas, in New York City, in Los Angeles, in Chicago anywhere else… you wouldn’t see that at Disney World even, but yet this random unknown restaurant on N Halsted thinks it’s too good to give people a basic human need. A 12 pack of these costs between $3.69-5.39 (after a quick Google search). Disgusting business model. Toxic vibes. Mediocre venue at best.”
