1 year update: sad that we only get to come once every year or two. Food and service are both still great. We will continue to stop by whenever we're in town. Update: as promised, we came back for breakfast the next day. We ordered some more of our favorite appetizers, the Arabic coffee, Turkish Coffee, the beef Burger, and my wife got the makhlama. No surprise, everything was great and delicious. Be warned, their regular burger is huge and tastes nothing like an American burger. It was seriously good. We agreed that if we road trip up to Green Bay, we'll be stopping in St Charles overnight and coming here to eat. Original review follows: My wife and I are in town for a wedding and saw this place has amazing reviews, and for very good reason. We weren't extremely hungry, more snacky and tired from our travel day. I state this because typically, if you're really hungry, everything is going to taste so much better. We split the combo appetizer because it had a lot of things we wanted to try. Great deal. I'm not normally a fan of falafel, but their veggie falafel was so very tasty. The blend of herbs and veggies all contained in a crunchy shell. A little dab of their hot sauce changes the flavor for a new experience. Both with and without the hot sauce, these things have a great herby flavor to them. The dolma were generously filled and had a great initial sour punch to them. Filling was perfectly seasoned and prepared. Really, everything in this appetiser combo was very tasty. Next, we decided to split Chef Abdul's combo plate. This basically gave us a second round of falafel, which we graciously accepted and enjoyed. The beef kabob has this deep charcoal flavor to it, in a good way, as if cooked over an open fire. Tender juicy and delicious. Chicken kabob was similar. The only thing we couldn't finish was the second portion of rice. All in all, highly recommend and very much enjoyed. We'll probably come back tomorrow morning to try their breakfast. We only have a few days in town but this place is worth coming to several times.

They say, every so often you wonder into something wonderful. This would be one of those occasions. Was on the way to the neighborhood Lowes and the stomach let out a roar. Amongst all the traditional chain restaurants and off the path a little bit. Was Chef Abdul's, the outside is nothing spectacular. Standard strip mall atmosphere. Once inside, part museum, part restaurant. Friendliness, omg! They blow the top off that. Felt like I was the guest of honor! Lol, wearing summer street drag. Had the appetizer sampler, combination dinner and baklava. All washed down with a special blend house tea. During my visit, the place was visited by many, that were oblivious regulars. How can you not come back, the food was delicious and everyone's treated like a king here.

I had a wonderful experience at this cozy, family-run Mediterranean gem. The warmth was palpable—father, mother, and daughter all lovingly tending to everything. The flavors blew me away: from juicy kebabs and creamy baba ghanoush to crispy falafel and perfectly sweet baklava. Even the ayran was spot on. This is tradition, hospitality, and flavor all in one. I’ll be back!

OK, the food is absolutely amazing, but the best part about this restaurant is Chef Abdul! You really feel like you are so welcome. Chef comes out to greet you, with a big smile, and is so welcoming. It is a family run restaurant. His granddaughter served us tonight and was so gracious. We asked about a dish that another table was having and they brought us out a small sample to try - delicious. Everything is always amazing there. Highly recommend!!!

I chose this place randomly on a Thursday night, and I’m so glad I drove there. The food made me feel like I was visiting a Mediterranean home and a friend’s mom had prepared an authentic dish from her homeland for me. The dish was steaming hot, definitely freshly made, and all the flavors were delicate and exquisite. I loved Chef Abdul Special Juice; a must-try if you stop by. The place is charming, very family-friendly, cozy, and warm—very intimate, like the kitchen of a particular home.
