Lonesome Rose (Logan Square)
Lonesome Rose (Logan Square) — clean, consistent mexican in Logan Square. Polished but not pretentious. There's real intention behind the cocktail list. "Also, while the horchata was some of the best I've had, I wish you got a bit more" — Allen [$$, patio]

“Absolutely incredible! From the moment the food hit the table, everything looked fresh and packed with flavor. The burrito was stuffed with perfectly seasoned meat, fresh pico de gallo, beans, rice, and all the right toppings—every bite was delicious. The chips were warm, crispy, and paired perfectly with the creamy queso, fresh salsa, and homemade guacamole. You can tell everything is made with quality ingredients. And the margarita? Easily one of the best I’ve had! Perfectly chilled, refreshing, with just the right balance of citrus and tequila—not too sweet and incredibly smooth. It was the perfect complement to the meal. Great food, amazing drinks, generous portions, and a fun atmosphere. If you’re craving authentic Mexican food and an outstanding margarita, this place is definitely worth the visit. I’ll absolutely be coming back!”

“Lonesome Rose is one of the most underrated spots in Chicago in my opinion. I’ve never had a bad experience here. This is an ideal brunch destination as I think they have the best breakfast burrito in town. Perfectly packed, holds together well, and the queso dip on the side compliments it so well. Their biscuits and gravy and fish tacos would be my other top choices. Well worth checking out!”

“My girlfriend and I had two different versions of the burritos and they were different than any other burritos I've ever had in a good way. The bartender was super cool and we tried five different cocktails four margaritas and a spin on a piña colada all of which are great.”

“Super super friendly crew. Very tasty food. Nice atmosphere and good value for money. Will come back!”

“This was was nice especially patio seating when the weather is nice. Their food is good but I asked for the shrimp taco and got a chicken on instead. Really enjoyed my time here and the drinks can be a little strong. They also have frozen margaritas as well to try.”

“This is a fun, casual spot to meet up with friends on a weeknight. I’m normally hesitant about these “upscale” Mexican or Tex-Mex spots because they try to be something they’re not. But Lonesome Rose doesn’t pretend to be something they’re not. We started with the chips and salsa, which were a generous portion with two types of salsa - pineapple and tomatillo. Both were delicious and the chips were the perfect amount of crunch! The ranch hand salad was delicious! Great ratio of dressing and toppings in every bite. My friends had the fried chicken taco which they said was delicious, and the carne asada nachos, which were smothered with too many pickled red onions. Overall, a fun spot! Fun drinks and fun food to split or have your own.”
“Love it! Wonderful. The only thing missing is the fried Chicken Taco. Bring it back please. Thank you!!”
