Lunch Special: $9.99 — Highly Recommended We were in Chicago because of my daughter, and I noticed a Korean restaurant nearby. After reading the reviews, which were very positive, we decided to stop by for lunch. I originally went in planning to order samgyetang, but when I saw the lunch special—seolleongtang for $9.99—I couldn’t pass it up. I ordered the seolleongtang for dine-in and got the samgyetang to go. It was a cold day, and maybe that made it even better, but the food was absolutely delicious. The broth was especially amazing—rich, comforting, and full of flavor. I enjoyed it so much that my bowl was completely empty by the end! Highly recommended, and I will definitely visit again the next time I’m in Chicago.

“A charming no-frills Korean spot known for the ginseng chicken soup.”
A charming no-frills Korean spot known for the ginseng chicken soup. The soup is deeply herby, hearty, and incredibly comforting - perfect for a cold or rainy day. The chicken comes stuffed with sticky rice and paired with purple rice on the side, making the meal feel both nourishing and satisfying. The seafood pancake and banchan were excellent as well. We also tried takeout and were very pleased with the quality. The galbi tang was comforting with rich beef rib pieces, the grilled mackerel was well seasoned, and the soon tofu delivered a warming spicy kick. The inclusion of banchan with takeout was a thoughtful touch.
