Kimchi pop in Roger's park — Rogers Park korean that sets the standard. The recipes feel handed down, not invented. The welcome here is real, and easy on the wallet. "The soup was my favorite and was just the right spicy" — Hector Escobar

“Chef Som was incredibly inviting, the menu was just the right size, and the sides were all fresh and delicious”
“Food was really good and tasty.”
Food was really good and tasty! It wasn’t full when I went but it’s a little small so I could see it getting full and being harder to get a table other times.

Wow! The food was so delicious and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They don’t use nuts in the kitchen, so it’s safe to eat here if you have a nut allergy! Will definitely come back.

“Amazing Korean food.”
Amazing Korean food! We had kimchi soup, kimchi stew, bulgogi beef soup, and kpop friend chicken! Everything was excellent. The soup was my favorite and was just the right spicy. Definitely recommended and I would come back!

“Our first visit to Kimchi Pop was spectacular, and some of the best Korean food I've ever had.”
Our first visit to Kimchi Pop was spectacular, and some of the best Korean food I've ever had! Chef Som was incredibly inviting, the menu was just the right size, and the sides were all fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend the No. 2 - it was warm, savory, and sweet. If you get the dumplings, use them to scoop up your extra sauce and veggies! Chef Som and his team were also incredibly accommodating, and walked over to check on us and offer Choco Pies for clean plates! Highly recommend, and we'll be back.

“Small spot for super fresh home-style Korean food.”
Small spot for super fresh home-style Korean food. The owner/chef was very nice and welcoming, and the food was delicious! Clearly labeled dietary restriction options for vegetarian/vegan/gluten free, and multiple protein options for different dishes (including veg/tofu). The bibimbap and japchae came piping hot from the pan to our table. Be back soon to try the kimbap and pajeon!

“Incredible soondubu jigae and veggie kimbap.”
Incredible soondubu jigae and veggie kimbap. Very authentic tasting and filling portions. Friendly service. I’ll definitely be back! Small recommendations: would be nice to have purple rice, metal chopsticks, and hot tea for the full authentic experience. :)

“Chef Son is the best.”
Chef Son is the best! Food was delicious, had the Kim chi fried rice and it was so good! The Kim chi is perfectly sour. Couldn’t ask for anyone better to take over after noon hour grill. Definitely will be back often!
