“Jeong was such a beautiful dining experience from start to finish. The care and attention put into every dish was so evident, especially in the kimchi preparations throughout the meal. Each one tasted incredibly fresh, crisp, and balanced — flavorful without being overly marinated or overpowering. You could really appreciate the thoughtfulness and quality behind each dish. Jen, the owner, was also an exceptional host. She took the time to explain each dish with such clarity, warmth, and genuine passion, which made the experience feel even more special and personal. The staff was equally attentive, kind, and welcoming throughout the evening. What I appreciated most about Jeong was how refined and elevated everything felt while still remaining warm, grounded, and intentional. It’s the kind of place where you can truly feel the heart behind the food and hospitality. Such a memorable experience, and one I would absolutely recommend when visiting Chicago.”

“While in Chicago for the NRA (restaurant) show, we sought after local and starred restaurants. My colleague found Jeong. I had the pleasure meeting Chef Dave Park and his partner Jen Tran at the restaurant. They offer a seasonal 8 course tasting menu that can be paired with wine. Each course was an amazing culinary journey into Korean flavors, both familiar and wanting more, which made it much more enjoyable. My favorites, the sea bream and the scallops. But everything tasted delicious and beautifully plated. Thank you Chef and Jen for an amazing dining experience and for your warm hospitality.”

“Amazing amazing amazing!!!!! I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend!!”

“Fabulous menu using unusual flavor pairings that work deliciously!”

“I’ve celebrated two of my birthdays here, and both times were amazing. The food is always fresh and delicious, and every guest I brought absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly, and the service is consistently great. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants! 🤍”

“Jeong delivered a stunning meal from start to finish. The space is warm and intimate - soft lighting, flower centerpiece, with an overall elegant & cozy vibe. Service was equally thoughtful, and they even created a custom anniversary menu that made the night feel extra special! The 8-course tasting was packed with standouts: a delicate cod soup with just the right kick of kimchi spice, a perfectly seared scallop with beautiful texture, and Australian wagyu that literally melted in the mouth. I also loved the jjajangmyeon with the wonderfully chewy noodles. Dessert ended on a playful note with a dalgona-inspired ice cream layering coffee, jasmine, and strawberry in such a refreshing way. We left feeling full & balanced and were genuinely so happy with the experience. Definitely will make a return in the future to celebrate special occasions.”

“Great ambience and amazing food. Each course was prepared meticulously. Everything tasted great. My favorite was the first dish which used vegetables in the best way possible. The final desert was another favorite.”

“Jeong, located in W Chicago Avenue, is one of the best Korean restaurants in Chicago with a great selection of refined dishes by Korean cuisine. Rino Siconolfi Instagram rino_siconolfi”

“One of our favorite dining experiences to go to. A perfect fine dining Korean tasting menu. Good progression, each course is just right in size, satiating but not too filling, the sides and sauces pair so well with each protein. You will really enjoy it whether you know Korean food or not. But their creative take on perilla leaves as dessert (sadly no more) or upscaled black bean noodles is more appreciated if you know Korean food. Our favorites are the scallop with the best beurre blanc sauce you’ll ever have, wagyu with veloute, and their rotating desserts. The cocktails are nice but the lychee mocktail is our favorite actually. The room ambiance fits well, nicely decorated, small and quiet, even the bathrooms feel luxurious. We even really like the utensils and plates, got the info for their ceramic supplier, gorgeous but not cheap. The service is always top tier with food description and utensil change every course. Not sure why they don’t have a Michelin star or at least a Bib gourmand but we’re okay with that if it means the prices remain reasonable, great value despite being in West Town.”

“We had a really wonderful experience here celebrating a birthday. Food was very good and plated carefully. I did enjoy that all the plates were very different and complimented the dish that was being served. Seemed like a lot of thought went into the dining experience and not just creating interesting flavors. I wouldn’t really call this restaurant Korean and more of a French/Korean fusion?? French technique with some korean flavors i would say. Definitely worth trying for a special occasion.”

“Booked a dinner reservation here for our anniversary dinner after, funnily enough, seeing a rave TikTok review. We were definitely glad we went. The tasting menu was well paced, and each course was packed with flavour. Our favourites were the salmon tartare (the flavours kept changing, it was amazing), and the desert course. The service was professional and attentive. We will definitely come back and recommend this place for anyone who likes French food, fine dining, and tasting menus.”
