Table to Stix Ramen — Evanston japanese with a strong Spicy Miso. The design gives it a sharp first impression. The flavors are genuine, nothing diluted.

“I tried the Saboo Halo Asian White IPA, which was delicious and a great pair with the spiciness of the ramen bowl”

“High-Quality Craftsmanship Ramen with Attention to Detail and Authentic Japanese Ingredients.”
High-Quality Craftsmanship Ramen with Attention to Detail and Authentic Japanese Ingredients. I stumbled upon this hidden gem by chance during lunchtime, and I was blown away by how exceptional their ramen is. I prefer lighter soups over rich, fatty pork-based broths, so I usually go for shoyu ramen. (I have only ordered shoyu ramen, so this review is based solely on that.) Their broth is perfectly balanced—flavorful yet not overpowering—and served in just the right amount. The noodles are cooked to perfection and beautifully presented in the bowl. The way they arrange the noodles is meticulous, ensuring a neat and visually appealing presentation, which enhances the overall dining experience. The finely chopped green onions are another standout, cut so precisely that they reminded me of ramen shops back home. It’s a small but meaningful detail that reflects their dedication to quality. One of my favorite discoveries was their choice of seasoning: the authentic Japanese S&B pepper I grew up with. This finely ground pepper, perfectly blended with garlic, adds a nostalgic and flavorful touch that elevates the ramen even further. This restaurant is a hidden treasure, where attention to detail and authenticity come together to create an incredible meal. On a snowy, cold day, nothing beats the comfort of a steaming bowl of ramen from here.

Ordered the classical one and the soup is pretty thick. Could give more sides considering the price.

“Everything was so delicious.”
Everything was so delicious! Ramen was bomb and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Octopus (and the sauce that came with it) was super tender and yummy. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area!!!

This place absolutely lives up to its reputation. There is a lot to like here including incredible depth in the broth, perfectly cooked noodle, reasonable prices on all items including beers. Conveniently located near the Metra station. Worth a trip to Evanston.

“This is a nice hole in the wall located a short walk from the Evanston-Davis stop on the UP North and CTA Purple lines.”
This is a nice hole in the wall located a short walk from the Evanston-Davis stop on the UP North and CTA Purple lines. I ordered pork shoyu ramen this time around, preferring a simple safe option instead of anything fancy. The broth has a smooth texture and a rich flavor. The slices of pork are bite-size and easy to pick up (they are simply boiled instead of charred or grilled like some other establishments, but I think this works for this type of ramen). Do consider this place if you have the time and if you are ever in town.

“Best ramen in Chicago land.”
Best ramen in Chicago land. Authentic. Delicious. Mix of college students, families and couples. Big open door windows brings in the light and fresh air. Classic pork ramen with side of Kimchi keeps me healthy. Japanese beer is perfect compliment to the soul warming broth. Check out fun collection of classic Saki bottles. Great service. Truly a classic neighborhood ramen house. Feel like I am back in Tokyo where every one knows my name

“I tried Shoyu ramen, and it tastes good.”
I tried Shoyu ramen, and it tastes good. As an East Asian person, i definitely recommend it. On top of that, the kimchi in this restaurant was the best among i have ever tried in the Evanston area.

“The Classic Tonkotsu Ramen reminds me of Japan.”
The Classic Tonkotsu Ramen reminds me of Japan. They did a great job. Hit the spot. The Sapporo beer is crisp and the kimchi is fresh. It's a little expensive for Ramen but they know what they're doing.
