Sushi Taku — solid, no-fuss japanese in Noble Square. Come for the food, stay for the energy. Worth ordering a drink, because the bar holds its own, and fast service. Mariam Saied: "Their sushi is fresh and delicious"

“Sipping on a refreshing drink while enjoying your favorite sushi rolls is the perfect way to unwind after a long day”
The greatest thing this place has is that it is pretty inside.
Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing.
One of the worst AYCE sushi places. The sushi is mostly rice, there's so little flavor it all tastes the same, like rice.

“Super fresh, fast service and fun atmosphere.”
Super fresh, fast service and fun atmosphere. This place is popular and for great reason. I love the Wicker Park area and this sushi spot is worth the wait! I will definitely be back again ✨

“My server was Paulo.”
My server was Paulo. From the moment I walked by myself because being obese requires many solo dinners. I was seated immediately. Wow. This guy place really lives up to its reputation. The best all you can eat. I loved the baked oysters. Quick service. Delicious food and nice atmosphere. I couldn’t finish it all. They gave me a nice Togo box and bag. I will definitely be back. Keep up the great work. You deserve the success.

2 yummy signature rolls for $22 (plus tip & tax) is unbeatable! Godzilla roll 5/5⭐️ the sauces were so delicious and blended great with the shrimp and crab! Color dragon roll 4/5⭐️ I’m usually hesitant about raw tuna, but it was DELICIOUS

Food is always delicious and fish is always fresh!! They’re usually pretty busy, so recommend jumping on their Yelp! waitlist during peak times.

“AYCE is dangerous lol.”
AYCE is dangerous lol. Veggie rolls didn’t come out with the first round so i asked for another slip and accidentally ordered 5 sweet potato rolls. Miso soup, tempura apps were good. I wish i knew which vegetables were coming with the tempura since i don’t like mushroom. Yuzu cocktail was pretty good, taste is very fresh lemon juice not a sweet lemonade. We did wait about 30 minutes outside for a table on saturday night. Bathroom was extremely slippery and wet on the floor, big stall needed attention during my visit. There were chunks of food on the floor surrounding the toilet, beware of AYCE decisions….

“Dinner AYCE buffet.”
Dinner AYCE buffet. Fresh, delicious. Excellent selection. I love their sushi (eel, clam), sashimi salad, hamachi kama, mochi ice cream, soft shell crab, fried oyster. Friendly, diverse staff. Attentive service from Fah. Competitive pricing at top-tier quality. Equal to top sushi spots at half the price. Popular, fills quickly. I recommend making a reservation. I stopped by on my way to the airport at 4:35pm, and there were already three groups seated ahead of me (dinner starts at 4:30pm). Will return when in Chicago again.

“Great restaurant.”
Great restaurant! The service, food, and atmosphere are all excellent. We always come here with our family and will definitely return many more times. The menu has a lot of variety. Just one small suggestion: the special sushi portions could be a bit smaller.

“I had an amazing dining experience here: 10/10 Highly recommended!”
I had an amazing dining experience here: 10/10 Highly recommended!! We tried this spot for the first time yesterday and I totally get why it’s crowded (in the best way of course)! We built our own sushi platter with a mix of different kinds, and everything was super fresh and full of flavor. The fried gyozas🥟 were honestly the star of the meal…hot, crispy, golden, and packed with flavor. For our beverage of choice, we had wine and that actually paired well with our meal. The vibe was relaxed, the staff was friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly. The restaurant staff energy was so CALM & ATTENTIVE and meshed well with the vibe. You can tell they care about quality & experience. I’d definitely come back again…🫰🏽perfect place for a chill sushi night that still feels special.

“This is the first AYCE sushi spot I’ve been to in Chicago, and it didn’t disappoint.”
This is the first AYCE sushi spot I’ve been to in Chicago, and it didn’t disappoint! I went for lunch, which is only available on weekdays at $22.99 per person (which is a pretty standard price for lunch AYCE sushi—other AYCE spots charge the same price for lunch). The AYCE menu is diverse and expansive: around 20 appetizers, 6 salads, 20 nigiri, and 50+ sushi rolls to try. Our group of 6 tried the majority of the menu and left super stuffed, satisfied, and feeling that we truly got our money’s worth. The fish is very fresh and good quality, and the appetizers and salads are quite tasty. Some highlights include: Appetizers— Takoyaki, Octopus Karaage, Jalapeno Bomb Salad— Sashimi Salad, Baby Octopus Salad, and I’m always a huge fan of Seaweed Salad Nigiri— You can’t go wrong with any nigiri; they were all super fresh and delicious, so just go with personal preference here. My personal favorites were Smoked Salmon, Yellowtail, and Eel. Rolls— Mango Tango Roll, Volcano Roll, Crispy Roll, Smoked Sweet Roll, Fire Dragon Roll Though delicious, the rolls are quite filling and unless you’re in a large group where you’ll only be eating ~1 of each roll, you may want to prioritize nigiri over rolls to maximize the amount of sushi you consume. Otherwise, the restaurant interior is spacious and nicely decorated. The service is quick, friendly, and attentive. Dessert isn’t included for lunch, but is included for dinner (which is $31.99 per person).
