I like sushi here a lot but Tonkotsu ramen was horrible. Never order ramen again. We couldn’t eat ramen at all.
The staff was very rude and not attentive. It was really slow in the restaurant it was my table and 1 other table.
My brother lives across the street from this place and last time I visited him I got the chicken teriyaki and it was one of the best I’ve had and at a good price for the amount of food you get.

Excellent sushi with great health precautions. Try the jbd roll for sure. UPDATE 7/25 if anything they've gotten better. Service was excellent, rolls were great and so was the miso soup. Yaki soba was also well worth the order.

Sushi Mura is one of the best Japanese restaurants in this area. I ordered a sashimi bento box. You can see from the photo how thick and long the sashimi is. And, it's as fresh as it can be. It's a little bit pricey, but it's worth it. The only problem is that it's very hard to find a parking space. All side streets are for local residents only. Update 7/20/2025: I took a party of 7 to Sushi Mura yesterday. Everyone loved their dishes. This was the first time I had smoked yellowtail. It became my new favorite instantaneously.

I’ve been going to Sushi Mura for a few years and it has been good every time! They pay attention to details e.g. their miso soup is flavorful whereas other restaurants may have bland tasting miso soup.

The chef surprised us with best of his 5 rolls ! In and out of his menu! And we really surprised really good and fresh sushi and the old fashion was exactly mixed !

Sushi Mura’s sweet potato rolls are a must-try! The sweet potato filling was incredibly fresh, warm, and gooey, with a softness that perfectly balanced the light crunch. Each bite had just the right mix of textures, and the flavors were simple yet incredibly satisfying. You can tell they use quality ingredients and take care in preparing every roll. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, comforting sushi option!

Visited for a late lunch/ early dinner and sat outside on the patio. Our server was efficient and friendly and we had our order taken in no time, our food came shortly after. Would highly recommend both the Lakeshore Drive roll, and the udon noodle soup.

Lovely sushi restaurant with a lovely, relaxed atmosphere inside. Tables outside are dog-friendly and enclosed, though the traffic on Southport is not much fun to sit in. Friendly service. And the food is great: lots of vegetarian and vegan options available, including fried rice, bi bim bop, traditional maki (avocado, sweet potato tempura, cucumber, asparagus, oshinko, all decently priced), and my personal favorite, the Tofu Kat Su. Fine selection of sakes and cocktails.

We really enjoy Sushi Mura. We ordered the vegetable tempura, edamame and 4 rolls and was slightly more food than we needed for 3 adults and 2 kids, but the kids hardly ate their sushi. I think I ordered the Cubs, Bears, Bulls and the flamin' fin maki maki. Some had a bit of a kick, but it was just right! Update: The chicken teriyaki is perfect for the kids. I also enjoyed the "Don't Tell Mama" and the Carnival rolls.

I'm stuck in rehab, my entire family is out of town chasing the eclipse, which is great. Only problem is there's nobody to spoil me for my upcoming birthday, so I took matters into my own hands! Sushi Mura came up in my area as having 5 stars and since I love unagi I ordered a JBD & a Dragon rolls. Delivery was lightning-fast! It came with the paper sack nicely stapled together. Both were delicious! I must try the rest of the menu real soon! 🍣🍣😋

Went here with a few friends. The service was incredible and very fast. One thing I didn’t like about the rainbow role was that one of the type of fishes on it was way too chewy and kind of sour. I’ve personally never had a fish like that. Other than that all other roles were perfect and the miso soup was great also. Salmon sashimi was also amazing. One of the best I’ve had
