Poke Gu
Poke Gu stands out for consistently fresh fish, crunchy cucumbers, ripe avocado, and generous customizable bowls with three or five protein scoops. Regulars love the friendly staff, fast service, outdoor seating, and Broadway views—plus affordable miso soup for a cozy work break. Portions and service can be inconsistent, and the busy Lakeview location has limited parking and an early, sometimes unclear last call.

“this has become my favorite poké bowl shop in the city. the quality of ingredients i think is a cut above the rest, especially the salmon. i’ve had dozens and dozens of bowls from here and will keep coming back for more, as it’s just consistently delicious, well-portioned bowls. out of all these bowls i’ve eaten, one was not the quality i’ve come to expect (WAY too much unagi sauce), but after calling, the person i spoke with made it right immediately with a replacement bowl. i really appreciated the great service!!”

“Love this place. Always really good quality and large portions for the price”

“(Please read all the way)Lady was rude, asked her for my recite but she crumbled it up and threw it away faster than the speed of light. Gave me barley any rice bowl was empty basically and i got three pieces of salmon but a lot of everything else to fill it up. Service was rude, offered other people a spoon or chopsticks but told me go get my own from this utensil table behind me when i asked.”
“Great place. Nice people. Always give you a good amount of toppings and fish for the price.”
