The octopus looked appetizing but was unfortunately very tough and chewy, which made it hard to enjoy.
Husband had the chicken parm which he said was 10/10 and the best he’s ever had.

“Everything was delicious”
I’m really surprised by the 4.6 overall review score on this place.
“Great ambiance, food and service.”
Great ambiance, food and service! I drive by it always and today decided to come it! The place is cozy, has a friendly cordial staff and the food is amazing! I had the eggplant parmigiana and will definitely will be back for that! Nice discovery and wish I stopped by years ago :)

A bit crowded space wise but this authentic Italian eatery makes it all work with their flawless execution of a full menu. Risotto di mare with lobster was more than entrees worth, creamy and delicious with an entire lobster tail. The appetizer of burrata, carpaccio, with truffles was super fresh and could have been a meal in itself. Located one block over from lincoln park, we found parking close by and enjoyed a walk through the basin pre dinner. Fantastic chicago experience!

We loved it! Great service, great location. But mostly great food. We started with The Fava Beans w/Truffle, The Calamari which was cooked to perfection and The Arugula Salad. Followed by The Bronzino Filet w/cappers, The Risotto w/ mushrooms-tomato-lobster bisque, and The “gluten-free” Pasta w/lemon sauce. The gluten-free pasta was amazing delicious! The Risotto was great too, but the Bronzino Filet was the home run dish. Then we finished with tiramisu and a torta di ricotta, paired with espresso. All three of us loved this place.

“Their risotto is memorable, and so are the desserts.”
Their risotto is memorable, and so are the desserts. I had the apple pie and I loved it. The space is tight so you will be very close to the table next to you, but it's not bad at all and it creates a nice environment.

“I come for 2024 restaurant week.”
I come for 2024 restaurant week. $42/person dinner. I recommend the Tuna Tartare and Polpettine di Vitello as first course. The Rissotto Pescatora and Griliata di Pesce as the main course. I like all the things above we ordered. But I hate the dessert tiramisu and Torta Della Nonna. The price $42 means the meal is definitely worth it. But in regular weeks, I can only give a 4/5 since nothing is super impressive that I want to come again.

“If you make a reservation, show up 5 minutes early and they'll seat you early if they can.”
If you make a reservation, show up 5 minutes early and they'll seat you early if they can. This place was packed on Friday night, but the tables are spaced well enough so it doesn't affect your experience. On a cold night after Zoo Lights at the Lincoln Park Zoo, we decided to start with soup, followed by risotto, and ending with the chocolate lava cake. Everything was delicious! The bread basket they bring you at the start of the meal isn't overwhelming in size and it includes some small pieces of focaccia bread which we're too filling either. Compared to the rest of the neighborhood, it's well priced and well worth it.

“Found this place by accident (restaurant we wanted to go to had an hour wait) and was blown away.”
Found this place by accident (restaurant we wanted to go to had an hour wait) and was blown away. Service was impeccable, there when you need them but not bothering you otherwise. Food was amazing. My girlfriend said it's the best dinner she's had in Chicago (lived here for 5 years) and some of the best Italian food she's had outside of Italy. Go for the branzino in lemon sauce if it's on the specials. I had the short rib fiorentino which was also excellent. Absolutely a must try.

“New to the neighborhood.”
New to the neighborhood. Not a single person friendly place. But, if you do no mind a single table.. the food is amazing. I had beef carpaccio (which was delicious, highly recommend) and a veal shank. I substituted mine for some greens, cause it is a hearty meal in itself. My server, Theo was very lively and efficient and had the best wine recommendation. Food came out fast. They do not have a bar (unfortunately) but they have dreams (clearly) Will be back, hopefully with a date 😂😂😂
