Server at the bar was very attentive. But in terms of the food, however, the bread was easily the best part of the meal.
Have to say I was hoping for alot better experience, sat for awhile before anyone came over and gave us water.
Started out great. Really good atmosphere and the bread they bring to the table was amazing. Went downhill from there.

Great experience and service. We were visiting Chicago and in the neighborhood. Garlic bread and Raviolis were some of the best food we had in the entire city!

Overall the food was great. Meatball appetizer And bread was my favorite! We went on saint pattys days so it was overly crowded in the streets.

Perhaps this is the best garlic bread that I had! I would recommend meatball, affogato and the garlic bread. The carbonara is fresh and has generous portion compared with its price (around $21). However, the guanciale is a bit too salty with the paste itself. Overall I still love its taste with the egg yolk.

Excellent little place for fresh Italian. You are met with a garlic bread round as soon as you place an order and it is delicious. We had lobster ravioli, buratta & tomatoes with house made limoncello. Outstanding.

“What a delightful restaurant.”
What a delightful restaurant! We came here for new year’s eve. It was packed, but oddly quiet enough to still have a normal conversation. The wine was fantastic, and the food even better. I still fantasize about the Italian sausage- it was truly delicious. Overall an amazing culinary experience. I will definitely be back!

Gussie's is fantastic! The bread with garlic & cream cheese is to die for. I had the evening special of scallops & wild mushroom ravioli (hopefully it's a permanent item on the menu now) was phenomenal! The lemon curd pie was a bit like key lime pie so not true lemon curd but still tasty. Cocktails are fabulous and the service is friendly & professional. Gussie’s is located across the street from Second City so perfect for dinner & a show. I've been twice and will definitely return!

Gussies was a great experience with the staff being very well versed in the food and the recommendations for pairings. I really enjoyed the Sunday Special Lasagna. All of the food was packed with flavors, and really did feel like a neighborhood go to Italian spot. I’m pleased with my visit.

Amazing pasta joint!! The pasta is homemade and delicious. And the free starter garlic bread is to die for!The vibe is also great and our server is so knowledgeable of the menu and had great suggestions. The service was also amazing. Highly recommend!!
