Riccardo Enoteca — one of Old Town's strongest italian spots. The setting does the work on date night. The kitchen starts with good ingredients and it shows. Katharine Schrager: "We both enjoyed our pastas - the lasagna was very rich and hearty"

“This spot is so charming and cozy that I expected the prices to be outrageous, but they were actually pretty reasonable for the food quality, service, and lovely atmosphere”
While the food was AMAZING, my party and I couldn't help but notice the different treatment between us (all people of color) and other guests.
We really enjoy going to Ricardo’s , the food is very good and in general the service is very good.

“Every time we visit Chicago, Riccardo Enoteca is a must.”
Every time we visit Chicago, Riccardo Enoteca is a must. You can truly taste the passion and effort in every dish — flavors are perfectly balanced and delicious. The wine selection is superb, especially the Barolo. My top picks: the salad “Cuori di lattuga romana” and the main “Polipo alla Genovese.” The restaurant is always clean, unpretentious, with a great ambiance. The staff is professional, friendly, and makes you feel like family — special thanks to Juan for his kindness. Highly recommended!

Great dinner! Fagioli soup had great flavorful broth. The beef carpaccio was a bit on the thick side and a bit chewy, but nice addition of avocado and hearts of palm The pesto shrimp special was delicious! The pesto sauce was perfect. Carbonara dish was well done and I’m a bit of a carbonara snob. Our waiter, Hector, great. Friendly and attentive.

Delicious dinner at Riccardo Enoteca with great friends. The caprese and arugula salads (to start) and lasagna, salmon, lamb, and gnocchi as mains were all amazing. Definitely a restaurant to repeat.

“Incredible service and food.”
Incredible service and food! It felt like I was dining in a swanky old New York Italian restaurant where Mr Big serenades Carrie Bradshaw. LOVELY. Cannot wait to return!

“This place is amazing.”
This place is amazing! We had the best time and great service. The brick oven flatbread is a must. The octopus was amazing. By far the best tiramisu in town. I can’t believe it took me this long to try it

“A quaint restaurant tucked away in Lincoln Park.”
A quaint restaurant tucked away in Lincoln Park. The outdoor sidewalk seating was perfect. I was surprised to see that restaurant itself is very small (maybe around 12 tables) but it added to the charm. Service was fantastic Food was right up there but I wasn’t blown away I will be back to try more here 😊

“Go here if CPOG doesn't work out.”
Go here if CPOG doesn't work out! What a lovely spot! It feels like Italy minus Italian waiters! But don’t get me wrong. Our waiter was terrific, and the entire staff worked hard. We stopped in to eat after trying to go to Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder across the street, which had a several-hour wait. Luckily, we grabbed a table at Ricardo Enoteca. This spot is so charming and cozy that I expected the prices to be outrageous, but they were actually pretty reasonable for the food quality, service, and lovely atmosphere. Our food and drinks were delicious, and my group left quite happy! It's a perfect spot for a date that you really like!

“We had a great experience at Ricardo Enoteca.”
We had a great experience at Ricardo Enoteca! As soon as we sat down they got us our espresso martinis and bread! We started with the veal ricotta meatballs which were phenomenal. For our entrees we got the Bucatini alla carbonara and the Braciola di Maiale all’s Emiliana (breaded pork with mozzarella and prosciutto). These were sooo delicious! Talking with a few of the other guests around us, you cannot go wrong with choice in food! Definitely recommend!

Went there for restaurant week and was slightly disappointed that the menu advertised online was not the same in person (missing the expensive dishes- lamp chop/ steak options etc). However the service and atmosphere were wonderful. I ended up getting the grilled calamari to start which was delicious and the pappardelle fiorentina as my main which was also great.
