It looks good, but a little disappointed with the taste, especially the focaccia, as the burrata and the speck didn’t really hit the point

We were walking around the area craving Italian food when we came across Olio E Piu. The windows were wide open so we could see right inside, and honestly the place looked beautiful from the moment we passed by. Elegant but still cozy. Lots of framed paintings everywhere, and even a piano on the floor that made the whole place feel really classic and romantic. We could’ve sat outside but decided to eat inside instead. Good choice honestly. The atmosphere was really nice and our waiter was super friendly. He gave us a few recommendations and helped us decide what to get. I ordered the Chitarra alla Carbonara with guanciale, black pepper, egg, Parmigiano, and chili oil. When the dish came out I honestly wasn’t expecting the egg yolk sitting right on top like that. I mixed everything together and took one bite and yeah… pure bliss is probably the best way to describe it. The sauce turned unbelievably creamy once the yolk mixed in. Every strand of pasta was coated perfectly. The guanciale was probably my favorite part though. Crispy around the edges, fatty in the best way, and full of this deep salty pork flavor that melted into the sauce. Every flavor balanced each other perfectly. This place was honestly incredible. One of those meals where you kinda stop talking for a minute just to eat.

The service was amazing! Chad was very kind and attentive. Highly recommend the rigatoni bolognese, 10/10! The outdoors area was nicely shaded as well.

Had a brunch here today and it was amazing, Chad was serving us and he was very kind and attentive! I don’t eat meat so they were so nice to make my carbonara with zucchini instead of meat, I know a lot of places won’t do it for you so I really appreciated it 🥹 The atmosphere, food and service is 10/10. Will definitely come back to try more things here when we are back to Chicago

After a chaotic day of travel, my colleagues and I went to Olio E Piu out of convenience since we were staying at the Hampton Inn. We are so glad we ended up here. We were hungry and ready for a great meal. They took care of us helping me navigate my food allergies, getting the food prepared quickly without sacrificing amazing flavor, and the ambiance was elegant and comfortable. My ribeye steak was beautifully cooked at medium rare (the chefs recommendation) and the vegetables well seasoned with oil. It made up for the hard day of travel. Thank you for an amazing meal with my colleagues!

The food and service was great. This was the first time I have heard about this restaurant. We did not need a reservation to get a table even though it was a Saturday afternoon and pretty busy. I would recommend the carbonara pasta and the octopus appetizer. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was also great. The valet took zelle so I didn't need cash to pay but there was also plenty of street parking around the area.

We waited a little before coming here, especially after the extreme disappointing experience at its sister restaurant next door. We actually didn't come with high expectations and was hoping to be proven wrong. The ambient is nice, rustic modern just like next door, the seats are very low though, felt a bit awkward eating with elbows high. We set across from the open kitchen which was a mistake, when the joint got busy, it starts to smell very oily. It might be fitting since it is called " Oil and more" 😂 The appetizers were good, I loved the caponatina, the egg plant was not greasy and this chilled dish was packed with flavors. The fritto misto was perfect, the breading was crunchy and light, lots of seafood. The carbonara had the right amount of seasoning, simple, not overly salty and greasy, good yolk. I had the rib eye, the reason why it was not on the bill was because they comp it, for $49, that rib eye was more like a new york strip, thick, long and narrow, a very strange cut for rib eye. Even at medium, the meat was chewy, mostly because it was not grilled but pan fried, the wellness was different from one side to the other. For a cut that thick, pan fry is not a good way to go. The olive oil cake with lemon and raspberry was not for me. I couldn't taste the lemon except for the slice on top, and the cake was very dense, starts to take on the texture of a bagel. I had one bite off it. Maybe I will just stick with the pasta next time and I will sit in a different section so I don't have to dry clean head to toe after.
