Mano a Mano
Mano a Mano — a Logan Square italian mainstay. Intimate atmosphere suited for two. There's real intention behind the cocktail list. "To be noted that the Mezcal Negroni was one of the best Negroni I’ve ever had in my life" — Nick Bacci [$$, patio]

“My husband and I came here for dinner on a whim after our first full week living in Chicago and could not have asked for a better welcome. Autumn, Thomas, and David all took such good care of us and made us (and our dog Archie) feel right at home. The Eggplant parm is not to be missed, and the tiramisu was so light and delicious. The wine list is made for people who really know and love Italian wine, no generic pours here, and their Sfusi wine service is such a brilliant addition. Very very dog friendly! Hoping to be back many times again.”

“I had been meaning to try Mano a Mano for a while and finally got the chance to go last week...it absolutely was worth the wait. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! I feel like zucchini flowers are hard to find in the city and the ones at Mano a Mano were spectacular. The pastas we tried were fantastic (gnocchetti and agnolotti)! Most of all though, the service was incredible! Dre was our server and he explained every dish so clearly. He was so personable and obviously passionate about the food. Manager, Celina, was also soooo wonderful and we loved getting to compliment her on the food and service face to face. We will definitely be returning!”

“This was a really good, intimate Italian spot in Logan Square with a very classic old-school look to it. I felt transported in time to something very mid-century modern with an Italian twist. The food was solid and the service was attentive.”

“This is now one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Sooo underhyped (actually pls keep it that way.) Came for apertivo hour and got a delicious Sangiovese for $10 along with a free pizza-tte. So good. Grass-fed meatballs and zucchini flowers to start…speaking my language. The pastas are freshly imported/handmade. Loved the carbonara but the barolo short rib risotto was an absolute star. Our server Andre just made this such a delightful experience and even brought out a little gelato with a candle for our baby because why not. We were too stuffed for dessert but will absolutely be back.”

“We celebrated my birthday at Mano a Mano and everything we ate was so delicious. 🫠 definitely will come back!”

“Came here for a private friend giving event for the grasshopper dispensary, so my experience was not your average night. Food was very good! Not your average italian fare. Service was very slow and we flagged down waiters multiple times, but I think they were just under-prepared for the event. It was more like a party and less like standard service. They were generous overall, and staff was warm and lively. I would love to go back and try their regular full menu!”

“We did the seven fishes dinner and we loved it. From our amazing waiter, the wine and specially the peppermint gelato!!! We are definitely going back to try their regular menu.”

“Might be my new favorite Italian spot in Chicago. My parents were in town for Christmas and we took them there for Christmas Eve dinner. It was one of three Italian spots we went while they were here and it was the best experience. From our professional, funny, and entertaining server Dre, to the owner who came over to shave truffles table-side, the service was top-notch. The food delivered on “modern takes on Italian classics.” The cheese stuffed focaccia app was so light and crispy, like nothing I’ve had before. The eggplant parm was literally a whole fried eggplant, so delicious and beautiful. All of the pasta dishes we got were creative, unique, and delicious. Wine pours were huge. The by-the-glass menu is small but all of it was unique and delicious. Dessert was great too…who knew about popcorn ice cream? I get the impression they change their menu a lot which is fun for Italian vs all the traditional dishes. Will definitely be back here and definitely check out their other restaurants! Thanks for making a lovely holiday evening with my family.”

“My experience here completely exceeded all of my expectations. The food was amazing, I partook in the feast of seven fishes, but the staff was incredible. Everyone here is friendly, warm, attentive, welcoming, and great at their jobs. Tristan is a wonderfully kind server. 10/10 service, would go again.”

“It was our first time visiting Mano a Mano but it won’t be our last! They were very friendly and we mentioned it was our anniversary dinner , they were so kind to bring out some drinks and dessert for us! Very dish we had was also delicious! Had to fight my husband over the pasta he didn’t want to share. ! Thanks you”

“The pasta tasted really authentic and had great flavor. I do think it's a little more costly than l'd like to admit based on the serving size. I don't think l'll order as often as l'd like because of the pricing but I decently can say I can't wait to try more pasta dish's from Mano a Mano when I can splurge! They were kind enough to follow my instructions and split my dish's in half which scored extra points with me. Thank you”
