“Wonderful Italian Beef’s, subs and sausage sandwiches. Quaint dining atmosphere.”

“This is a super cool spot with a lot of personality. The interior is filled with Chicago memorabilia and unique 3D food-themed artwork that gives the restaurant a fun and memorable atmosphere. It is the kind of place where you find yourself looking around and noticing something new throughout your visit. The employees were very friendly, efficient, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The pizza came out quickly and tasted fantastic, with fresh ingredients and great flavor in every bite. Between the fun decor, welcoming staff, and delicious food, this place is an easy recommendation. I will definitely be stopping by again the next time I am in the area.”

“Good food and reasonable prices. Chicago dog was perfect! Fun decorations in smaller dining area but no bathroom.”

“God, I love Chicago. I’m obsessed with the Italian beef. Luke’s Italian beef was delicious in its own right. Thinly shaved beef with spicy giard in a roll Luke’s way. Undeniably good. Staff was kind and helpful. Thanks for telling me to keep the bag right side up. I did not spill a single drop of au jus. Speaking of au jus—this au jus was like a delicious oilier consommé. The oiliness is authentic and feels very homely. That’s how a lot of stewed dishes come out when I cook too. You’d be missing out if you didn’t get au jus, honestly. It’s delicious to sip along side your sandwich on a cold day. Wish i had more—really.”

“My first time in, I hope it ain't my last. I gorged. This was my first experience with a hot Italian beef sandwich. I also ordered a Chicago dog and fries. Everything was really good. Nice staff, cool atmosphere, great food. It was an iconic first time in Chicago, thanks to Luke's for helping me grab some good grub.”

“If you're looking for a cheap place in Chicago to eat, this is it! Food and service is great!!”

“The first time I ate at this joint, I had that beef and cheddar croissant. I got it wet and shouldn’t have. It was the messiest sandwich I’d ever eaten. Albeit, an absolutely delicious mess. The second time I ate at this joint, I got an Italian beef with mozzarella and sweet / hot peppers. I didn’t get this sandwich wet and it was much more manageable. Do I recommend Luke’s Italian Beef for an absolutely delicious sandwich? I do! Do I recommend you get that gravy or au jus on the side even though it’s honestly unnecessary? Certainly! Do I think the price / value / service are worth it? OH YEAH!!!”
