“We stopped by Coda Di Volpe before a concert at Wrigley Field, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. It’s only about a half mile from the stadium, making it an easy walk while offering a much better dining experience than the typical game-day options. Coda Di Volpe is clearly a neighborhood favorite, serving outstanding wood-fired pizzas, house-made pastas, and classic Italian dishes in a warm, energetic atmosphere. We started with the focaccia and the Peaches & Cream salad. The focaccia was excellent, with a beautifully crisp crust and a light, airy center that still had just the right amount of chew. The whipped ricotta alongside it made it hard to stop eating. The peaches and cream was fresh and well-balanced with cucumber, pistachios, and herbs. The peaches weren’t quite as sweet as they will be later in the summer, but that’s more a reflection of the season than the kitchen. The pastas were the stars of the meal. The Paccheri alla Norma was outstanding, with perfectly cooked pasta, a rich tomato sauce, roasted eggplant, basil, and plenty of ricotta salata bringing everything together. The Casarecce al Pistacchio was equally impressive, coated in a vibrant Sicilian pistachio pesto with bright citrus notes that kept the dish from feeling heavy. We also enjoyed the Linguine al Limone, which was silky, fresh, and beautifully balanced with lemon, basil, toasted pine nuts, and just enough richness to make it incredibly satisfying. Service was attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Our waiter made excellent recommendations, checked in at just the right times, and helped make the meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. If you’re heading to Wrigley for a concert or Cubs game and want a memorable Italian meal before the event, Coda Di Volpe is well worth the short walk. I’ll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu.”

“Easily favorite Italian place I’ve tried in Chicago. Not a thing I’d change.”

“There are wonderful servers, then there are servers who elevate the dining experience into the stratosphere. Nate is one such who now belongs on my (rather short) list of amazing restaurant staff. He was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, efficient, and it was delightful watching him service his station. And oh, the food! I had the crudo sampler, three types of fish: tuna, yellowtail, and snapper (? Not sure about the snapper) Artistically plated, excruciatingly fresh, and delicate flavors. The olive oil focaccia was hot and crispy out of the oven, a lovely counterpoint to the crudo. My husband had the crab tagliatelle, a bit spicy as advertised and so many layers of flavor. The other two items we ordered were the Margherita pizza and the squash blossom pizza - both were excellent, but the edge goes to the amazing Marzano tomato flavor of the Margherita sauce. We shared the arugula salad, and we had two desserts, the strawberry sundae with a decadent basil gelato, and the afogatto vanilla ice cream with an espresso pour. Drinks were just as tasty as they were beautiful - my Witches Brew was crisp and light and utterly delicious. If I lived in the area this place would be a regular! Absolutely recommended!”

“Delicious pizza and pasta. Our server Helena was really nice and the manager was so sweet:)”

“Really cool modern Neapolitan pizza spot in Southport. The pizza is wood fired and very light, crust was super fluffy and thin. Would highly recommend the original neopolitan over the focaccia pizza but both were good. Prosciutto and Arugula was the best, Bufala Marg was also top notch. Liked it 👍🏼”

“We had so much food! Every single dish was absolutely delicious! We have the octopus, branzino, Funghi pizza, Caio e Pepe pasta, those seasonal pasta and finally the very delicious tiramisu. I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu items!!!”

“Everything we ordered was delicious. The focaccia bread was soft with a perfectly crispy crust, so good! Both the pizza and pasta were cooked to perfection. The service was also great.”

“Stopped for lunch on a Sunday. We had a 2 year old with us and they were very accommodating. They had both a highchair and booster seat available. Our cocktails were fun and tasty. We ordered the focaccia for an appetizer. The ricotta that came with it was delicious. Our main dishes were the bucatini, the rigatoni, pizza and January Pasta special. All were very good.”

“This place did not swing and miss once. Everything was as fantastic as I had hoped. We did a app, pasta and pizza course. My favorite dishes were the two pastas, the cacio i pepe and spicy crab; easily some of the best pasta dishes I've had. The pizza was delicious as expected from the #44 pizza in USA. Will be back sooner rather than later.”

“In our search for the best neopolitan style pizza in Chicago, Coda di Volpe is certainly a hit. My partner really enjoyed her gluten free focaccia style pizza and my margherita with sausage was equally delicious. Fantastic crust! Surprisingly classy and upscale ambiance. Our server was decent but the restaurant was busy on a Saturday night and our drinks sat empty for quite a while. Their pastas looked delicious and warrant another visit!”
