“Excellent service and good.”
Excellent service and good! Had the meatballs, cacio e Pepe, and Prosecco and pepperoni pizza special. Every single thing was outstanding. Servers didn’t miss a beat. Highly, highly recommend.

“This is a hidden gem.”
This is a hidden gem. The place has extensive seating, super clean, and the staff is awesome! Some of the best Italian food in the city and they have a good wine selection, and cocktail menu. If you’re in the area, definitely give it a try!

“The food was absolutely amazing.”
The food was absolutely amazing. The tableside experience with Trevor was incredible, and Guy, our waiter, truly brought everything together. He took such great care of us and made the entire experience so pleasant and memorable. I honestly wish I lived here because I would come all the time. The desserts were top-notch — I couldn’t have been happier with our experience! The only small thing that threw us off — though it didn’t take away from the overall experience — was being asked several times to clear plates while we were still actively eating. We weren’t finished with our appetizer yet and were already being asked about to-go boxes. Aside from that, everything else was wonderful. I would definitely return time and time again.

I came to Cafe Bionda to celebrate a birthday, the restaurant was decorated so cute for the holiday season. I ordered a cocktail with Tito’s and elderflower it was really good! The starter I ordered shrimp and polenta was delicious and my entree spicy vodka chicken with rigatoni was also very good. Our server was so warm as well. I definitely enjoyed my meal and will be back soon.

I could not wait to try this tableside pasta and it was definitely a great dish and presentation but first I had to try their burrata. This was a larger portion than what I was expecting but their burrata di bufala was creamy and complimented well with the salty prosciutto; tart arugala and the sweet balsamic glaze on nice pillowy focaccia bread. Great start of the meal!! But their tableside truffle cacio e pepe is amazing!! Creamy aged parmesan wheel cheese with the al dente bucatini in truffle sauce was perfectly prepared. Black truffle shaving added that earthy tone. The presentation was first class and masterfully prepared. The staff was super friendly and accommodating during this early dinner service!! Ill definitely be back to try their other menu items.

One of my favorite restaurants in all of Chicago. The ambiance, food, and service are all excellent. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, they make you feel like family! Highly recommend vodka pasta and tiramisu espresso martini. ♥️

7/21/25: update, I’m so sad that they took off the SHRIMP COCKTAIL and the BAKED CLAMS, those were literally the only reason we went there. Everything they have is good but those two things were the best in the city and now they are gone so we literally got up from the restaurant and went to Franco’s. My hearts broke now. 12/15/22 The beef short rib ravioli was good , it had something like gravy on top so it was more umami flavor then a red pasta ravioli The biaonda salad was delicious, perfect really. The New York strip was just okay I had better steak. The grilled calamari was soft and tender, decent I would order the mushrooms over this. The extra dirty martini was really strong i hardly tasted the olive juice 11/2021 Everything was more than delicious! I was very happy with the service and atmosphere too. Definitely worth a visit!

“Really great Italian restaurant with decor inside that makes you feel like you're on a European street.”
Really great Italian restaurant with decor inside that makes you feel like you're on a European street. The rigatoni Alla vodka was delicious and filling. Street parking is available right in front/across the street from the restaurant. Would definitely recommend this. Vibe is nice but not uncomfortably fancy or anything like that.

“My love for Italian food in Chicago is restored.”
My love for Italian food in Chicago is restored. The last few trendy Italian restaurants we have tried have just been okay, but this place really blew us away. The service was outstanding, our waters never made it more than 3/4 full before they were promptly refilled by the smiling friendly staff. We got A LOT of food so that’s why it was more expensive, but overall the prices are on par with other Italian restaurants in Chicago. The spicy chicken rigatoni was out of this world. Normally, I can take or leave chicken cutlets, but these were outstanding. Very delicate, lemony and refreshing which was a nice way to cut through the heaviness of the spicy vodka sauce. The cheese wheel pasta was also fire, but a bit expensive so kind of a splurge entree. My wife got the lemon shrimp pasta which she said was the best pasta dish she has had since we were in Italy. Also got the whipped ricotta appetizer which was solid as well. I will be dreaming of those chicken cutlets for days! 🤤
