“Step into this unassuming strip-mall location and step into what can only be described as a Sicilian Mob Boss’s lair, in the best way possible. Paintings adorning nearly every visible space on the wall, framed with intricate golden frames. Crystal and gold chandeliers hang with refined gusto above the warmly decorated dining space. With two beautifully decorated patios, this place is perfect to enjoy during both the colder and warmer months. But enough about the decorations; let’s talk food! For our appetizers we ordered the baked artichoke hearts and the stuffed mushrooms. Both were fantastic, but the artichoke hearts might just be my new favorite appetizer anywhere. For our entree’s we ordered both the Chicken Marsala and the Chicken Picante with Capers (something I would normally call piccata, but tomato tomata.) Both were flavorful and delicious, but the Marsala was slightly more flavorful. Our server, Austin, was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The only downside with service was the slight wait time for food, but with being a busy Friday night I can’t fault them too much for that. All in all, this is a fantastic local Italian spot (which is increasingly hard to find these days) with beautiful decorations, friendly & attentive staff, & delicious food. I wish that I would have tried this spot sooner after moving to the area, and will definitely be back for some more of those baked artichoke hearts!”

“This review is a long time coming but necessary! My wife and I got married in December having a small courthouse gathering. We waited until March then looked for a venue to renew vows and have a celebratory meal with family and friends. As we both had been to Bella Mia several times together it was a short search. We originally planned the event with a former employee who left the restaurant as the date, (March 21st), was approaching. Randy the owner then took over. He made several suggestions different from what we'd originally planned, including changing the area of the renewal of vows and where our wedding officiate would be in front of the guests, but they turned out to be perfect!! The event was nothing short of fantastic! My wife had tears in her eyes much of the service! The food was spectacular, and everyone raved about it! Randy and his staff gave us a wedding to remember, and we are eternally grateful for what Bella Mia did for us and couldn't be happier that was the venue we chose!!!”

“The Italian pork chops were cooked to perfection and tasted better than any other pork chop I've ever had.”

“Randy runs the best restaurant in the southwest suburbs, and Beth is a fantastic server!”

“The service is great. The food is delicious. The ambiance is old school Italian.”

“We were there for my fathers 90th birthday. From the planning before hand, to the day of, everything went smooth. The food was amazing, the service was fast. If you're looking for a place for a party or just a great place to have dinner this is a must.”

“Went for the first time Friday night. It was such a great dining experience. Our waiter was top notch I believe her name started with an M I do know she had a you are beautiful sticker on her book. She was absolutely amazing. Drinks filled before even empty. She was on top of everything we didn’t need to ask for one thing. It was great! Best service I have ever had. My family was soo happy!”

“My first time at the restaurant. I loved it The food was good and I'm actually going back soon for their food and wine pairing. I had steak vesuvio i asked for it medium well it was really under closer to medium rare but i liked the flavor and i was full from the bread and salad so i will cook it a little further for leftovers. Everyone in my party loved their food. We ordered a variety of dishes: pasta pork chops seafood i heard no complaints. But i did take off a star for my undercooked steak. AND no i do not send food back (at anyplace) to correct it. I will doggy bag it or not eat it. The service was 5 star. We had a server who was training a gentleman unfortunately i dont remember the servers name. But girlfriend was on the run and handling her tables. Very good service. And the management was good. They manager served us and one of the owners were there in his apron working also. Truly spectacular. They checked on us frequently. I neglected to point out we were a table of 13 women and we were well taken care of The atmosphere of the restaurant was just beautiful. This is the christmas season and doggone their decorations were spectacular and provided the finest backdrop for pictures. The nativity and 3 wisemen statues were beautiful amd made me feel so warm amd i really got the feel of the holiday season. Just awesome The Christmas trees lights and the decorations were just an added benefit at the restaurant amd a beautiful backdrop for our pictures. Thank you bella mia see you soon”

“This was a very pleasant experience, I walked in and was not disappointed. I was pleased with the atmosphere, music, service and food. Live music was just an added bonus, I enjoyed every minute of this restaurant.”

“Shay was very attentive and a sweet heart. Thanks for doing a great service. You’re the best. I look forward to returning. 🌟❤️🌟”

“Atmosphere during holidays was gorgeous! Beautiful decorations. Everyone was very welcoming . Food was good. Soup was average, tasted like canned soup with fresh veggies thrown in to be honest so nothing special there. The bus boy brought the soup out on a tray and placed it near the table on a stand and we waited and waited for our server to bring them to the table but finally we just got up and got them ourselves. She was very apologetic and seemed swamped so it was understandable. But didn’t make a good first impression for our first visit. Loved the fresh crusty bread, olive oil and Parmesan on table. The desserts were pretty but tasted like average store bought cake.. in fact the red velvet tasted stale. Sams club desserts are better. For an upscale restaurant Charging $13 dollars a slice I expect a better slice of cake. Maybe get a pastry chef.. don’t offer 12 different options for dessert, just a couple delectable desserts made in house. Main course was really tasty and portions were great. With that said we would still return but skip the soups and desserts. Also please replace the old peeling toilet seat in the middle stall in the women’s room… it’s definitely not “upscale” if your charging $30 a plate but you can afford a $16 toilet seat from Menards. I was shocked to see that to be honest. Get those soups and desserts on point and I’d give 5 stars .. even with an old peeling toilet seat”
“I was not expecting something so excellent in a strip mall location in Midlothian... and this place blew us away with the quality of the food and service. We've been hearing great things about Bella Mia for years- but living out in Frankfort makes it hard to get to Midlothian. Oddly enough, I grew up in Midlothian and this place didn't exist- too bad for me. The food and service are just fantastic- this is a real gem of a restaurant. I'm excited to come back soon.”
