“My husband and I have spent 4 summers here in Chicago. One thing we agree on is that discovering Angelina’s was one our greatest finds. Come here for the amazing food and warm atmosphere, but know that one of the most important aspects of the success of this establishment, is the owner, Philip! He knows his regulars by name, he makes every diner feel welcome, and he’s incredibly generous. On our first trip to Chicago in 2023, we ate at Angelina’s 3 times, working our way through the menu! On our 3rd visit, when we were presented with the bill, Philip treated us to a bottle of wine, an entree and a dessert! That never happens anywhere! In a city with a million places to eat, it’s no wonder that this restaurant has been around for decades, serving wonderful food and delivering unmatched hospitality! Thank you Philip!”
“One day in 2016 my husband and I had had a classic no good very bad day. Heartbreak, disappointment, and pet death all wrapped up into one. We were dog walkers in Lakeview at the time, living paycheck to paycheck but that week we had $100 extra dollars or so and decided: what if we go on a real date? We came to Angelina’s. We’d walked past this place daily for four years, and for us it was the platonic ideal of a “nice restaurant”. I did wine research beforehand so I wouldn’t embarrass myself in front the waiter. We came, we ate, we felt better. We’ve been here for every anniversary since. We send friends here, we send anyone we can tell here. It’s the place to be. Ten years later and I’m rewriting my blank five star review in honor of Phillip—who has seated us for every meal we’ve been here for. We still come here on bad days for a little pick me up, and we come here on good ones to eat well. You should come too!”
“Please come to Angelina if you want Italian in Chicago. This restaurant feels like home. The food is delicious, the portions are large, the servers are friendly. It’s everything you could want. My wife and I come here for our anniversary every year and we come here if we’ve had a rough day & need a pick me up. Thank you Angelina Ristorante (and especially Phillip) for the pick me ups!! By a wide margin one of the best restaurants in all of Chicago!”
“I’ve been dining at Angelina’s since the 1980s and I have always thought it was such a wonderful place to eat and the most beautiful ambience. My last visit was two weeks ago and for the first time I had their brunch. If you get the special it includes bottomless Mimosas. I have the eggs Benedict with spinach instead of ham. And my family received Omelets. Everything is always fine. They do have a lot of large parties so it can get loud but The ambience is great and the service is good. A wonderful place for Brunch lunch or Dinner.”

“My husband and I had one of our first dates here. Tonight I had this roasted chicken with rosemary and garlic. Its sooo good. The service is beyond amazing. They remember their clientele. Im actually dining alone, and I feel like im dining with family. There's always a lovely special...and a good martini. Pasta is always on point. I cannot say enough good things. If you're going to be in the neighborhood....just give it a go!”
