“Honestly I don’t like dosa at all but once I’ve had the dosa over here it was so good that I ordered 12 dosa with my family!!!! IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. We will definitely come back”

“Had an amazing time here. Nikhil was our server and he did a wonderful job. He was very attentive and accommodating to all of our requests. The chicken vindaloo, biryanis, lime soda, and fish were flavorful! Can’t wait to come again!”

“I visited Thalaivas Indian Kitchen during my Chicago trip, and my stomach still remembers it happily 😂 We tried kothu parotha and parotha with mutton curry, and both were full of flavor. The mutton curry and parotha combo was so good that I forgot I was a tourist for a minute and started eating like it was my hometown spot. Great food, good taste, and definitely worth visiting!!!!!”

“Always a pleasure to be at Thalaiva's. Awesome food and Nikhil served and took care of us very well”

“All perfect combination for everything.. excellent server, the best indian food in park ridge area. I always come here and will never skip when i get chance.”

“Poori was super light and delicious, it was surprising as many restaurants in India also make it heavy. Chicken 65 - perfectly delicious Kothu parotta - could be better”

“So glad to find authentic kongunaadu food in suburbs... Great food and friendly service”

“Authentic South Indian restaurant, every thing I tasted reminded my of my back home meals. Had non-veg Thali (plate) and tried Flying Horse Royal beer, enjoyed it and highly recommend it if you like spicy food.”

“Authentic and delicious South Indian food. Probably the only place in the entire Midwest that serves such yummy Tamil dishes. The chicken lollipop, gobi 65, thali meals, parotta combos, and their dosas are so good that they literally transport you to South India!”

“I have been coming to Thalaiva’s for several years now. And with every year their service, flavors and quality improves. Being a south Indian, it is usually difficult to find authentic south Indian food in the Chicago neighborhood. But Thalaiva’s is the closest to Madrasi/Kongunadu food. Oh! And their filter coffee is to die for!! Highly recommend! ❤️”

“Recieved excellent customer service by Mr Vinod! And the Perfectly steamed idlis and crisp dosas made the meal truly enjoyable. The thali was flavorful and wholesome, offering a great variety of traditional South Indian curries. The place also has an amazing ambiance with southern music to enjoy while you eat the food! I do very much recommend going here.”

“We ordered Talapakathy Biriyani, dosa and parrota salna. Everything was so authentic South Indian taste and yummy. Difficult to find parking. The restaurant is moved to next street from its original google map location. Sukku Malli Kaapi was also like home prepared. The service was so quick.”
