Rangoli Indian Cuisine — honest indian in Lakeview. Order the Dosa. The flavors don't apologize for being bold. "The samosas are crispy and packed with flavor, while the butter chicken is creamy and comforting" — EJ Smith

“Amazing food and great experience at Rangoli Indian Cuisine.”
Amazing food and great experience at Rangoli Indian Cuisine! We tried the Gobi Manchurian, and it was absolutely delicious. The Masala Dosa was fantastic—crispy and flavorful—and they even served a variety of condiments on the side, all of which tasted amazing. Everything we ordered was just perfect. The food was too good, and we will definitely be coming back

“Great Indian food with really friendly staff.”
Great Indian food with really friendly staff! We came as a group to celebrate Diwali and had a great time trying the kebabs, chicken tikka masala, paneer makhani, and yellow dahl! All the food came out pretty quickly and the food was delicious! They also brought us some free dessert after which was super sweet of them!

“Great new Indian restaurant with cleverly appointed fresh decor, paintings and even plush decor pillows.”
Great new Indian restaurant with cleverly appointed fresh decor, paintings and even plush decor pillows. Food was scrumptious. We did the chicken tikka masala which was generous and returned for Saturday lunch to take advantage of their unlimited dosa special (South Indian crepes stuffed with multiple options) for a flat fee! Love their glassware of copper and brass glasses. Service was really nice and prompt and courteous! A solid Indian restaurant that has great ambience and service for dine-in option is definitely a much needed win for Lakeview!

“Everything we ordered here was tasty and the service was friendly and attentive.”
Everything we ordered here was tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. The staff really seem to care about the food and have been helpful with suggestions. I’ve now been back to try more dishes and they continue to impress. This place feels kind of special, I love a place that seems to have heart and I think this is one of those places. My favorites are the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, the kashmiri pulav, and the gobi manchurian. The kashmiri pulav has a really nice savory sweetness to it. The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala are just great versions of these dishes that are so rich and creamy I just want to keep eating them. The gobi manchurian (fried cauliflower with a sweet nan spicy sauce) is extraordinary. One of the best cauliflower dishes I’ve ever had. I’d also highly recommend trying the dosa. I’ve tried the karam + ghee dosa and it was very very good. The dosa bread is massive and is wonderfully crunchy and bready. The items to dip in were also all very tasty (I don’t remember them all). We also tried the onion bhajee, pav bhaji, chicken korma, and the gulab jamun, which were all tasty as well.

“solid food with very nice staff and a cute enough space conveniently right down the street from my apartment.”
solid food with very nice staff and a cute enough space conveniently right down the street from my apartment. Lakeview in general suffers from a lack of Indian food options, so it's great to see this open up and Cumin (Indian/Nepalese) coming later this year. we started with the pav bhaji and then had some garlic naan with the kashmiri pulav rice that was so very good, along with two of the typical chicken dishes and took some gulab jamun to go (my fav Indian dessert!). excited to go back and have some more non-standard options on the menu.

“Amazing food, lovely ambiance, attentive staff.”
Amazing food, lovely ambiance, attentive staff. I'm always on the hunt for a good dosa and this hit the spot! We ordered two types of dosas - paneer corn, Ghee Karam and both of these were cooked to perfection. The sambar and chutney was perfectly spiced. Overall, delicious south Indian food. We also ordered pav Bhaji, which was amazing as well. The Bhaji was buttery and paired very well with the pav. Highly recommend this place.

“So good, highly recommend them.”
So good, highly recommend them! Gobi Manchuria was crispy and spicy, Samosas had a great pastry and were stuffed full. Veg Vindaloo was spicy and addictive, and contained a great variety of vegetables. Everyone was super nice and took great care of us. Can't wait to go back!

“Very flavorful Indian food in a comfy diner setting.”
Very flavorful Indian food in a comfy diner setting. Noticed Rangoli opened a few months back so wandered over for lunch on Sunday with my daughter and we were very happy. Very tasty food with savory, complex flavors. She ordered the fish curry: deep complex flavors and great, well cook chunks of fish. I tried the chicken vindaloo (received the expected “this is hot” confirmation from the server): good level of spicy and flavor with lots of chicken in the bowl despite initial appearances! We shared garlic naan (good) and onion bhajee (amazing!) and she really liked the lassi. Portion size was large - we brought home decent amount of left-overs. Service was fine and polite - maybe could have been a little more engaging? Food was delivered quickly Surroundings are like a diner with cushions, plants and Indian-themed art to add a comfy vibe. Having enjoyed all the food and seeing the large menu, definitely planning to be back and sample more (although another curry and onion bhajee will likely be re-ordered)!

“So glad this new location opened!”
So glad this new location opened!! The dosa was fantastic along with the sambar and coconut chutney it came with. Made me feel very nostalgic along with the Vada. The kebab plates are huge so definitely great for leftovers. Welcome to the neighborhood! We can’t wait to come back 😋
