It's a lovely space, we were able to get a spot immediately. We got chicken, curry, malabar paratha and naan. They also have fresh orange juice, which is great. The portions are generous and food tasty, the service friendly and courteous, will definitely be returning! They also seem to have fun cocktails.

The food is phenomenal from the menu items to their unlimited dosa night in Wednesdays. If you’re looking for an authentic South Indian place well this is it! The food is great the spice can be adjusted to your liking and we had that with each family member from mild to spicy these guys know how to make it right! Def worth the trip. The dosas are crispy and taste amazing. The idli so soft and the medu vada were great. Their sambhar and chutneys were super flavorful. Try this place yourself.

We have ordered Baby Corn Manchurian, Gobi Manchurian for starters and vegetable fried rice and vegetable biryani, taste is great and at last ended with a desert Faluda. Go visit and give it a try.

I would have never expected to find South Indian food this good in the northwest suburbs. Magic Pepper has been opened for only 2 months but the food they serve up easily ranks among the best I’ve had anywhere in the Chicagoland area. Everything was excellent and I have nothing but praise here. The mysore dosa was phenomenal: beautifully golden without being greasy, a good balance between crisp and soft bits, and delectably toasty. The mysore paste added such a satisfying garlicky heat. The accompaniments were just as good: rich, comforting sambar and flavorful chutneys. The Andhra chicken curry was bold and incredibly flavorful with tender chicken in a savory, aromatic gravy. The garlic naan was crisp, buttery, and properly garlicky. The mango lassi was also top-tier. Their menu has plenty of lesser-seen regional dishes that caught my eye. I fear I’ll be back often.

AMAZING SERVICE! Great ambience! We ordered baby corn, they explained each gravy sauce well. Also did spring dosa, mysoore masala dosa, uttapam, and masala omlette! ALL were good!! The best was THE MANGO MILKSHAKE!! I totally recommend! Super happy :)

Portion sizes were generous and perfect for group dining. What made the experience even more special was the hospitality. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we even had the chance to click group pictures with the chef👨‍🍳, which was a lovely and memorable touch. We went first time to magic pepper last week and ordered Andhra chicken and roti. It was superrrr yumm and the ambience is amazing. The food was not at all oily and the taste was beyond expectations. We even got complimentary dessert which was again a awesome surprise and gesture.😍 We again went yesterday to have dinner, this time with friends and ordered chettinad chicken curry, naan roti and uttapam. First time I had such a crispy and flavoured uttapam in Chicago. Also, I ordered a soup, it was delicious too and because of winter it became cold after a while. I requested to get it reheated and the staff was happy to do that. 🥰 I would definitely recommend to give this place a try. 😍 Also, they do give you warm water in winter 😉.

Great place for Kerala food! Everything we tried was tasty and full of authentic flavors. The spices were just right, and the food felt fresh and homemade. We tried a wide variety of items: • Malabar Biriyani - beautifully aromatic, perfectly spiced. • Chicken 555 - addictive! • Pomfret with Kanthari Masala - flavor was spot-on. • Butter Chicken & Garlic Naan - rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. • Chicken Kheema Puttu - a rare find in restaurants here. Crafted with care and presented beautifully! • Falooda - the perfect finish to an already fantastic meal. Would definitely recommend and we’d certainly visit again! The ambience was great too! I wish I had taken more photos!
