Delhi Darbar Chicago Restaurant — an indian spot in Devon Avenue. The flavors are genuine, nothing diluted. Open late. Gianna Davis: "The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor—perfectly charred on the outside, tender on the inside" [$$]

“I brought my family here to try this restaurant, and I’m pleased to say we all enjoyed it. We had the goat biryani, butter chicken, chicken makhni, garlic naan, paratha, and a mango lassi to finish the meal off. The butter chicken was my personal favorite, I couldn’t get enough of it. Biryani was fresh, chicken makhni was delicious, garlic naan and paratha were perfect, and mango lassi sealed the deal. But the butter chicken was definitely the best dish in my opinion. The service was great, the servers were constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything and took care of us well. I actually came back again the next week after this picture was taken from how much I enjoyed their food. 10/10 highly recommend this place for those who want some traditional Indian food”

“Delhi Darbar has really good food, especially the butter chicken and naan. The place feels warm and welcoming, and the service is quick. It can get a bit crowded sometimes, but overall it’s a solid spot for a tasty North Indian meal.”

“Visited first time and like the Great taste of Chicago”

“Delhi Darbar is an ionic old-school Chicago spot that’s open late for great Indian Veg - Non Veg cuisine!!!! It started many, many years ago on California, for cost effective, late night take-out and dine-in, from there it has evolved into an amazing restaurant experience that we have today. A clean restaurant, with quick service, and a complex yet simple menu. The whole menu is all-star items that you would order at majority of any Indian restaurant. As soon as you are seated you will be served onion, cucumber, lime. Also each person gets their own Raita. The reason is you can season it more or less with the chat masala provided. I throw a few dashes in mine, some people that I have seen will shack the chat masala as if it’s their last meal. Black pepper will have to be requested. The night I took the photographs for this review we order the following and it was all 5 stars!!!!! FRIED CHILIES FRIED GARLIC CHICKEN BOTI CHICKEN MASALA ROMALI ROTI We did order Masala Pappad but they never came out and he staff did make sure to take it off our bill. If you wanting great service go early, later you go rowdy the crowd gets!!!!”

“I tried daal fry, aalo samosa and chai (tea) and found it up to the mark in taste. Paid street parking available.”
“Warm and hearty service by the owner. Definitely going there next time.. Chicken karahi, and butter chicken were delicious.”
