Delhi Darbar Chicago Restaurant — an indian spot in Devon Avenue. The flavors are genuine, nothing diluted. Open late. Gianna Davis: "The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor—perfectly charred on the outside, tender on the inside"

Food was very very subpar. Ordered 2 garlic naan, goat biryani, chicken makhani and samosas.
I’ve been going to Delhi Darbar for years and always wondered why so many Desi families recommended it.
Food taste and quality is good, gave onions on the side specially with daal, but didn't give rice with curry, which is common across Indian restaurants in the USA.

“This place has delicious food and the service was excellent”
“Delhi Darbar has really good food, especially the butter chicken and naan.”
Delhi Darbar has really good food, especially the butter chicken and naan. The place feels warm and welcoming, and the service is quick. It can get a bit crowded sometimes, but overall it’s a solid spot for a tasty North Indian meal.

“Delhi Darbar is an ionic old-school Chicago spot that’s open late for great Indian Veg - Non Veg cuisine!!!”
Delhi Darbar is an ionic old-school Chicago spot that’s open late for great Indian Veg - Non Veg cuisine!!!! It started many, many years ago on California, for cost effective, late night take-out and dine-in, from there it has evolved into an amazing restaurant experience that we have today. A clean restaurant, with quick service, and a complex yet simple menu. The whole menu is all-star items that you would order at majority of any Indian restaurant. As soon as you are seated you will be served onion, cucumber, lime. Also each person gets their own Raita. The reason is you can season it more or less with the chat masala provided. I throw a few dashes in mine, some people that I have seen will shack the chat masala as if it’s their last meal. Black pepper will have to be requested. The night I took the photographs for this review we order the following and it was all 5 stars!!!!! FRIED CHILIES FRIED GARLIC CHICKEN BOTI CHICKEN MASALA ROMALI ROTI We did order Masala Pappad but they never came out and he staff did make sure to take it off our bill. If you wanting great service go early, later you go rowdy the crowd gets!!!!

“My recent visit to Delhi Darbar Kabab House was nothing short of an extraordinary gastronomic...”
My recent visit to Delhi Darbar Kabab House was nothing short of an extraordinary gastronomic adventure that I feel compelled to share. From the moment I stepped inside, I was embraced by an ambience that exudes warmth and an inviting charm, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The culinary journey began with the impeccable service from our server, Abdullah, whose attentiveness and knowledge of the menu added an extra layer of comfort and excitement to the evening. The owner Asif, his recommendations were spot on, guiding us through a plethora of delectable Pakistani dishes that were both a feast for the eyes and the palate. The star of the show, of course, was the food. Each dish was a symphony of flavors, rich in tradition and bursting with authenticity. The chicken biryani transported me straight to the bustling streets of Lahore with its aromatic blend of spices and tender meat. The Bihari boti roll was another highlight, perfectly spiced and grilled to perfection, wrapped in soft naan, and bursting with succulent flavors. Equally commendable was the presence of the owner, whose passion for his heritage and dedication to his craft were evident in every bite. His warm hospitality and genuine enthusiasm for sharing the richness of Pakistani cuisine made the experience all the more enriching.

“Great food, service, comfortable, friendly people.”
Great food, service, comfortable, friendly people. Best dining experience I have had in a long time. Waiter helped me through the selection as I am not real familiar with all the excellent choices. Go here, you won't be disappointed. Took the Red Line from the Gold Coast to Devon and a short ride West on the bus. Best dining on Devon in my opinion. Very comfortable and friendly people.

“Had the Bihari Kabob (top) and chicken boti tikka kabob (bottom) with two rotis.”
Had the Bihari Kabob (top) and chicken boti tikka kabob (bottom) with two rotis. Both were absolutely phenomenal. They were cooked well and fully seasoned with tons of flavor in each piece of meat, and served piping hot. The food that we ordered was perfect for approximately 2-4 people. The dine in experience was also phenomenal as the restaurant was clean and the decor was excellent. Lastly, the service was absolutely amazing as the waiters made sure we were comfortable and attended to our needs with respect and care. This is definitely a must have on Devon and I am adding it to my list of favorite Chicagoland Desi restaurants. Special thanks to Brother Asif Siddiqui for the outstanding customer service!

“Nice Authentic Indian food.”
Nice Authentic Indian food. If you are craving to have some nice spicy Indian food you have to try this place. We tried Chicken Frontier , Karahi Gosht with Rumali Roti. The goat was awesome and tender. We tried their Paan too. It was more then sufficient for 2 and we took the leftovers. Service was good too. We went there after they renovated this place. Looks more clean and spacious.
