“First of all this is a a hidden jewel in the Chicago suburbs. Tiffany our server (she's basically been the only one we've had since going there) is phenomenal, attentive, talkative, personable, very knowledgeable about the food, and very efficient at what she does and all around just a great person to be around. I do have to say the same accolades to Lucia the first server that we had on our first night. I will say that I do like that the servers help each other and don't seem like they care what section it is or they are territorial like some restaurants are. It's just good teamwork nice to see. Plus bonus the bartenders make first class drinks if you like. I do have to say the engine that helps keep the the front of the house running smooth is the staff that supports the wait staff. They are like energized bunnies that won't stop. Dishes are always cleared from the tables, drinks are always filled, and food is brought out on time hot and delicious with a smile. I have to say a particular thing I think they always have a shim for your table if it's wonky or if it's wobbly. Because as we know all floors are not created level. Let's talk about food. The lasagna is our go-to. Made with beef short rib the combination of sauces and a combination of cheeses it's definitely a Chef's Kiss. We also are particularly fond of the Cacio e Pepe that is serve table side in a cheese bowl. What's particularly nice they will adjust the creaminess of the cheese in the cheese bowl for your liking. I will say get the Meatballs e Polenta so very good. Oh and don't forget about the bread with roasted garlic honey butter. To die for. You will definitely want to take some home. We have tried many other things and you can't go wrong with what you order it's all delicious. Ah now to the back of the house. Chef Rose has the kitchen running as a fine-tune F1 car. Food is delivered hot and delicious with their own little flair. Also if you're lucky to meet Chef Rose you will meet another person who is a wonderful person that just makes you feel at home. As I understand the recipes are made by Mom (I don't know her first or last names but I don't need to she's just Mom) and Chef Rose. It tastes like delicious Italian food with a flare that you would expect to be at the dinner table for the whole family sitting around eating and enjoying life for Sunday dinner! Oh and don't forget desserts there's a little for everybody's liking and so delicious. And if you think that you're going to this restaurant thinking you already know what you're going to eat they tell you about the specials and that plan just goes right out the window. The specials are crazy good and mess up your whole plan of what you're eating that night in a good way. A great plus I think all restaurants should have is that they have an elevator so you don't have to go up the stairs. Look for the entrance door with all the flowers around it and you will be walking into a little bit of home. And last but not least a shout out and thanks to the people in back the Sous Chefs, Prep Helpers, Dishwashers and anyone else that we missed that helps this phenomenal restaurant be what it is. “We reserved part of the rooftop for our company QBR on Tuesday June 23rd 2026! It was absolutely perfect, stunning, and amazing food. I work with so many restaurants, and event staffs and Sogno does it right. Tiffany was outstanding to work with planning wise and super flexible, the staff and bartenders Sydney, Jeff, and Tyler were 10/10. They made custom drinks for us, and had the best attitude and warm welcoming vibe. I would 10000% go back with friends, family or any other events. THE FOOD WAS ALSO TO DIE FOR!!!!! Truly amazing and you have to get the cacio e pepe!!”

“Came here with my girlfriend for an early valentines dinner. & wow did i absolutely love this place! Our server was absolutely amazing and he informed us all on the drinks and food! He was so sweet and his service was absolutely incredible. The drinks did not disappoint with the alcohol, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was beautiful. Big bonus, the owners are two women who are married to one another, and it definitely made us feel more comfortable being there as a lesbian couple. Thankyou for the amazing time! Will be back”

“Sogno in Wheaton absolutely exceeded my expectations and delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment you walk in, the ambience is classy yet very comfortable. The interior design is beautiful, with elegant touches and nice pink floral additions that make the space feel cozy, upscale, and perfect for both special occasions and relaxed nights out. Ours felt more relaxed which we loved! The cacio e pepe was phenomenal, highly recommend. Perfectly balanced, rich without being heavy, and full of authentic flavor. The Parmesan wheel experience was not only cool to watch but it made the experience feel extra special. The bread was also so soft and tasted homemade..the best kind! For the entrées, the filet e pepe was so good with the risotto…very flavorful overall. I love how they split this dish for us upon request. My husband and I truly appreciate how the staff was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel taken care of from start to finish. We plan to come back!”
“This place has has a remarkable presentation, starting before you even walk into the restaurant. Seeing the single door leading to the stairs or elevator which takes you up to the second floor, all picture perfect! Wanting to experience all the different plate options makes locking in just one somewhat difficult. Glad we grabbed two separate choices to share, and the kitchen helped making it so easy to split both plates.”

I highly recommend the cacio e pepe — it’s prepared tableside and brought out in an old-school Parmesan cheese wheel, which makes it not only fun to watch but incredibly fresh and rich in flavor. It was hands-down one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Beyond the food, what truly makes this place special are the people. Rose is an amazing person with a wonderful personality, and her warmth and passion shine through in every detail. You can genuinely feel the love and hard work that she and her mom have put into building this business. The service was welcoming, attentive, and made the entire experience feel personal and authentic. From the atmosphere to the food to the people behind it, this restaurant is something truly special.
