“The food was really good, and I enjoyed my meal. This was my first time trying Senegalese food, and I'd definitely try it again in the future. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The guy who took my order was really nice and welcoming. I didn't know what to order, and he helped me choose the best traditional dish. I only wanted to try their traditional dish, nothing else, and I got that in my lifetime portfolio of trying new foods. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to try new country food.”

“This was our first time here and the food was absolutely delicious. You can tell it was freshly made and tested like homemade! Highly recommend and will be back!”

“Superlative all around. Teranga immediately gives one the impression of home, of intimacy and sentimentality. The tables are spacious and the servings are plentiful. The hosts and staff float around you without feeling invasive or hurried, and every dish appears at just the right time. The Fattaya (they resemble Empanadas to the uninitiated) are justify the journey and/or price of admission alone, and a sip of the Bissap refreshes as does a spring bath. I had a lamb and chicken combo platter and I need whoever was working that kitchen to know I love them very much.”

“Exploring the neighborhood and stopped in for lunch. Wonderful friendly service. Clean with cute homey vibes. The spiced coffee and hibiscus drinks were delicious and refreshing. The food knocked our socks off! We got the fataya salmon pastry appetizer and the yassa chicken with cabbage and jollof rice. Absolutely amazing. Will definitely recommend and hope to make it back soon!!”

“A group of us came here on Sunday evening. The owner could not have been more helpful. We were new to Senegalese food so we let him order for us! We ordered the salmon appetizer and fell in love with the hot sauce. The fish, chicken and lamb were incredible as was the peanut stew. My favorite was the curry w/black eyed peas. We were the only people in the restaurant, but they were busy with to go orders. I will definitely come back here again!”

“Authentic and so delicious! The fataya was incredible and the ambience was nice. Thank you Elias!”

“Came in for lunch and had a fantastic time. The staff was lovely - telling us about the wrestling that was on tv and giving great recommendations for food. The food was fantastic! I’m so happy Teranga is in the neighborhood. Can’t wait to go back”

“We got the yassa and a couple appetizers. It was a good amount of food for a very good price. Everything was tasty and well-seasoned. The appetizers came with two sauces that were both fantastic. Eat here.”

“Yassa was great! I loved the lamb, I’d totally come back for it.”

“From the moment I walked in, I was overtaken by a welcoming presence; both atmosphere and staff. I ordered Akkara, Soupe Kandia, Jollof Rice, & Attieke; everything was amazing. The Akkara and Soupe Kandia were my absolute favorites; flavor was impeccable. I wish I could eat the Soupe Kandia everyday (that’s how good it was), but the oil was a bit much (only downside), so if you are conscience of this, it’s the only thing I’d note. Regardless, the food was amazing! Anytime I want to indulge in amazing food, I know where to go! - Friend got the Red Snapper and it was also amazing.”
