Came here for lunch at the Walnut Room and to pick up Frango mints - loved the decorations throughout the entire store. It really felt like the high days of department stores as it was bustling with other shoppers -- especially this location is legendary and historic! Loved seeing the new 2025 Christmas tree.

Old school glamor reminiscent of the era of department store shopping. Gorgeous setting. There's even a nice restaurant, The Walnut Room with a retail museum by it. Bookstore, Starbucks, Wine Shop, Toys R Us, multitude of floors to cover. Check out the atrium, there's 2. Underground walkway with Tiffany stained glass examples, to get you to Daly Plaza to see the Picasso. We went to get out of the heat and ended up here for several hours. Enjoy it now, it's a bygone Era kinda place.

Went to Marshall Fields for the Walnut room lunch with the family for Christmas. Food was delicious. We had a wonderful time. The place was packed but service was very good. Always. Love, Marshall Fields / Macy's

Favorite store in the Chicago loop. Incredible architecture inside and outside. Watch for the details. Especially the first floor and the 7th floor. Walk around and enjoy the building.then shop. 7th floor has a museum like area. November and December it's filled with holiday decorations. Smaller food court on the 7th floor. Starbucks in the lower level below the first floor. Walnut Room restaurant is amazing and serve delicious food. Yes check on reservations when you're planning your next visit. Frango chocolate is their signature chocolate although no longer made on that floor. Go to cosmetics and look up. Yes look up. Tiffany ceiling with over million pieces of glass, mother of pearl and the like. Then take elevator or escalators to the 4th and 5th floor ladies department to see it up closer. Fabulous store. You should find a great purchase for you or loved one.go to costume jewelry or lower level ladies department for a piece of fashion to add to your closet. Enjoy. Take a photo under the Clock outside as well as the Image ..under the Clock ... In the men's department. Take the photos. Have fun

I am so glad that they kept the Marshall Fields sign on the current Macy's building as well as the old outside clocks. Coming to the store is a must if you are visiting Chicago just for the historical value of it.
