“As a North side girly I found this place off Google search. I was looking for somewhere to have good coffee/food before I had to consulado mexicano. From the moment I walked in the music was giving! Early 2000's jams are always going to automatically get me in a better mood. I was welcomed by Wendy's warm smile and attentive personality. She was able to give me some feedback and pointers on their menu. I went with the mazapan latte and the chilaquiles. Everything was honestly so delicious and the salsa used for the chilaquiles was eally good as well. I am rarely ever in this area but I can definitely say that I would take the drive to try more of their menu items. They didn't disappoint ❤️”

“It caught my eye as my bus hurdled down the street. La Malinche? The "traitor girl"? Hmm. The contrast of bright and vivid colors with that name drew my interest. After about two weeks, I descended the bus thinking, "well it's not her fault. If a conquistador had his musket in my face, I'd prolly have no choice too". When I peeked inside, my mood was immediately elevated by the pumpy beats and beautiful decor. I felt happy just being in there and I hadn't even ordered yet. When I'd finally recovered from the effects of my proper first impression--thank you, patient barista lol--I ordered the chai latte and triple S sandwich. The sandwich was akin to a lox bagel, but on a panini. I liked the change of pace of light, airy panini bread from stodgy bagels. Perfect portion, refreshing taste. My Goldilocks chai latte was my favorite part of my fare: perfect temperature, perfect balance of spicy and sweet (there was even a slight hint of toasted marshmallow taste, which I loved). It's very rare that I have such a perfect first experience at a restaurant but La Malinche absolutely delivered. Thank you so much! ☀️”

“Stopped by La Malinche Coffee & Tea House in Pilsen to try something new. Place is nice and quiet. Bright pink walls, little decorative hearts, alebrijes all around and full piano in the room. Felt cozy right away. The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that’s exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too… hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn’t expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn’t wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.”
