Ken's Diner & Grill
Ken's Diner & Grill — one of Skokie's strongest vegan spots. The kind of place your parents probably knew about too. Creative without being gimmicky. Or li: "Atmosphere was really nice and the place is charming; you must try the shakes" [$$]

“My family and I dined here on a Sunday evening and it was reasonably busy, but we didn't have a line to order and found seating and parking easily. Ordering and picking up food is done at the counter, but everyone is super friendly and helpful. I got the Bay Ken Mushroom burger, which was huge and perfectly cooked. The fries were fresh and super good. I also got a non dairy milkshake which was fine. My only problem was that most of the fountain sodas were out. It was a good meal at a normal price for kosher meat meals. I would visit here again.”

“We love Ken's! Can't wait for them to open in Israel! Am Yisrael Chai!”

“Delicious kosher diner with a nostalgic and friendly atmosphere. Perfect for gluten free and vegan folks as well. My boyfriend got the pastrami on marbled rye and I got mine on a GF bun. They also will fry the fries in a dedicated fryer if you’re vegan/gluten free. We absolutely will be back and greatly appreciated the hospitality & delicious eats!”

“I love this place! The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is very fun and unique. I had dinner while watching the Cubs play. It was awesome!”

“Best burger in the world. It also happens to be a fully certified Kosher facility, by the highest levels of certification. But I digress... I have given a review on multiple occasions, but I try to update my review on this specific Diner at least twice a year. Because it's not just the best Kosher food, rather simply THE GOAT in game! The sports-based theme that surrounds you, creates a phenomenal ambiance, is very old school, and rare. There is nowhere else to go where you can also watch the local game as you eat... in addition, It's still owned and operated by one of the two brothers who had opened this restaurant so many years ago. It's a staple in the Chicagoland area, and a highlight in Skokie and Evanston neighborhood. The food is the best, the service is the best, and it's the only place that I know of, with the foot traffic that it sees, where the owner is willing to sit down and say hello no matter what.. it says a lot about the person, but of course the place as well!”

“Ken's Diner is a true gem! The food is absolutely delicious, with every dish packed with flavor and made to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal or a special treat. The service is outstanding—everyone is incredibly friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. It’s clear that they take pride in what they do. If you're looking for great food, a cozy vibe, and top-notch service, Ken's Diner is the place to go! Highly recommended!”

“It was a bad experience. We ordered an Italian Beef and Burger. We were told burger would be well done and it wasn't. The Italian beef was thick and chewy. When we told the staff she said that's not normal and said sorry. She identified it was a problem and brushed it off. We spent more than $50 and lost a family sunday to a crap experience. I wouldn't recommend it.”
“We used Ken's Diner Catering Services and were very impressed!”
