I ordered Thanksgiving dinner with Kathryn’s Soul this year and she didn’t disappoint. Cooking is not my passion and I prefer to actually enjoy the holiday instead of stressing in the kitchen, and I’m so glad I did. My kids loved the strawberry crunch cake, and the mac and cheese and yams were both so good and flavorful. Service was excellent and everything was delivered ready to be heated & served. Thanks for making Thanksgiving feel enjoyable. I’d absolutely recommend and will be using her for all my catering needs.

I really enjoyed my food and the service offered here. I had the shrimp and grits, Mac and cheese and roastedchicken. My friend had the loaded baked potato. We both had fresh lemonade 😋 everything was delicious. I didn't know this was a market place where it is shared by other vendors but I will said the food I ate Kathryn' Soul made me not want any other food offered there. The owner has true hospitality. She brought our food to our table personally with a smile. Thank you 😊

“Incredible soul food.”

Incredible soul food! Excellent price for the combo. The main is a flavorful, huge, moist, lean meat loaf & gravy. Fried cabbage side with a dash of smoked bacon demonstrating that a good cook can work with a few simple ingredients. Last but not least: the 4-cheese mac side, wow!

I went here with my 2 daughters for our mother daughter day brunch. I had the salmon topped with delicious creamed Spinach, yams and macaroni and cheese also tried the banana pudding which was ok but wasn’t made from scratch but tasted like the box pudding. Still enjoyed my meal though my daughter’s were pleased with their meal also. My green spinach smoothie was delicious also. My first time at the French market and will come again to Kathryn’s soul good soul food and reasonable priced.

UPDATE: August 9, 2022 I ordered the K-Soul Bowl and it's insanely delish! Jerk chicken, which I've never had served over corn, gravy and her delectable mashed potatoes. TIP: Kathryn's Soul is part of the Aadvantage Dining program. Check out rules to get your points. _________________________________ I ordered delivery from Kathryn's Soul. I got meatloaf, cabbage with bacon, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese Amazing flavors. Overly generous portions. The meatloaf is going to feed me for 3 days. The piece is gigantic! Great value for what I paid. The potatoes (my love language is potatoes) were phenomenal. The cabbage and bacon were very fresh. And I did not know macaroni and cheese could taste so good. This is soul food and I am now a happy camper!! Thanks, Kathryn's Soul. I am now your grateful customer!! I will be back!

I ordered the combo shrimp and jerk chicken pasta . The shrimps were cooked perfect and the jerk chicken was tender the honey muffin was excellent the only reason I didn’t give a five star is because The pasta was Starchy and there was not enough Alfredo sauce but over all this was worth the money I will return to try other menu items . I was at the location in the French market. customer service was good also .keep up the good work

I’m pretty sure I ended up eating a glass shard (or something very similar to it) that was in the Mac n cheese, my friend asked me why I was gagging so bad and it’s cause I was terrified I was chewing something hard while eating the Mac n cheese, I ended up pulling a piece of glass out my mouth and was disgusted. I went to the owner and told her about it because I’m concerned about health and well beings and she said she doesn’t have any glass and said nothing more after I showed her what I pulled out her food. She was dismissive and looked at me like I was crazy like I was the one that fed her glass. I was super excited to try this place out, got a little disappointed with the customer service .

“I really had high hopes in trying out this establishment today.”

I really had high hopes in trying out this establishment today. Unfortunately, I set my hopes unrealistically high. I basically got a bowl of (what tasted like yesterday’s) dry grits w/ 5 shrimps (I ate one). No butter. No freshness. No garnish. And more importantly, no love. The carry out trays that are used caused the cream spinach to shift as it pleased. Also, I didn’t know that I was paying $17.99 just for the salmon, $1.50 for the cream spinach and $1 each for the two sides that The menu stated that came with it. Yeah. Not knocking those who had a pleasant experience- but it’s a hard no for me.

It’s hard supporting black owned businesses especially when the OWNERS HAVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Kathryn the owner had security and the manager surrounding me and my two young daughters as if we committed a crime . Don’t support this black owner she very rude .

Literally my favorite place to order from at French Market. There's a wait because dverything is made to order so it's def worth the wait. Google doesn't include this on the recommended, but I def recommended the loaded baked potato with shrimp and their cabbage side as well.
