Nice marque outside. Cool decor inside. Older but comfortable seats. Good sound. Enjoyed the show.

“Beautiful theatre.”
Beautiful theatre. Well located. Hard to find parking so will need to use a garage. But chaotic entry and exit.

“We saw the final performance of Hell’s Kitchen on Sunday afternoon.”
We saw the final performance of Hell’s Kitchen on Sunday afternoon. The show was fantastic! The theatre is one of Chicago’s jewels. Beautiful, not a bad seat in the auditorium. We had the suite service package which we enjoyed and would do again. Light snacks and beverages included, plus easy access to suite only restrooms.

“Love this beautiful theater especially for Broadway shows.”
Love this beautiful theater especially for Broadway shows. It's literally in the perfect location next to a Garretts popcorn shop, across the street from Block 37, and adjacent to The Dearborn. The theater is able to seat around 2,000 guests with great seats.

“Gorgeous theater.”
Gorgeous theater! They don't make theaters like this anymore. I also liked that the seats are staggered so you aren't sitting directly behind someone - great for short people like myself. Also, the parking garage is a short walk down the street. Don't forget to take advantage of the buy-ahead discounted parking rates for your show!

“Beautiful theater.”
Beautiful theater. And they have security to assist during intermission to keep the lines flowing for bathrooms and refreshments. People were ridiculous and complaining, but to us it was handled very well. Surprised at how many people don't have theater etiquette! We love this theater and are always pleased with their productions!

“We loved the experience in this theater.”
We loved the experience in this theater. Beautiful, nice staff, well organized, comfortable seats, many options for snacks, clean bathrooms, and an amazing structure. We were there for the Sound of Music Broadway in Chicago and we had a wonderful time.

“Our first time visiting the Nederlander Theatre was for MJ the Musical in August of 2025.”
Our first time visiting the Nederlander Theatre was for MJ the Musical in August of 2025. The theater shows its age in a classy and upscale way. The entire venue is very clean and very well-maintained in all regards. A great place to catch a performance.

“The Nederlander Theatre (formerly the Oriental Theatre) is a stunning venue that enhances any theatrical experience.”
The Nederlander Theatre (formerly the Oriental Theatre) is a stunning venue that enhances any theatrical experience. I saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child here, and it was absolutely incredible! The production, special effects, and overall atmosphere were pure magic. The theater itself is beautifully designed, adding to the immersive experience. A must-visit for any theater lover in Chicago!

“Beautiful theater, always professionally run.”
Beautiful theater, always professionally run. Allow time to admire the excellent South Asian-inspired decorations. Easy access to public transportation and parking garages only six minutes away. Much dining is nearby, particularly across the street at Block 37. They always have first rate national tours here and occasionally, pre-Broadway engagements.

“Is this a beautiful theater perfect for the Cursed Child show atmosphere.”
Is this a beautiful theater perfect for the Cursed Child show atmosphere! The theater was cleaned and kept up. The seating areas had great space. You don't feel like you're sitting on top of each other. The staff was helpful and courteous.
