Industry Ales Brewpub — top-tier bar & grill in Loop. Unpretentious and comfortable, exactly what you want. Worth ordering a drink, because the bar holds its own. Velma Itamura: "The steak was tender and full of flavor, while the carrots were perfectly charred and delightful"

“I loved learning new tips and tricks, and honestly, tasting the drinks I made myself was the best part”
“Such an awesome place.”
Such an awesome place! As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with a smile from the host. The decor is classy and cozy all in one. It opens up into the bar area with plenty of seating. This place is so much more than just a peak in the window. We ordered the 1/2 turkey sandwich lunch special. No pics bc we ate it so fast. Also a side of the mashed potatoes, which where to die for. The service and ambiance is rich and cozy. Everyone was extremely friendly and helped with recommendations. I had the Bloom & Doom beer, which was crafted in house. Friend had the old fashioned, thumbs up. This is a great place to host a holiday party or just alone for lunch. I will definitely be back!

I will definitely be back. Good beer, friendly service and fair prices. Their Oktoberfest beer was the best I've had all year.

“Great classy bar.”
Great classy bar! Delicious drinks, beautiful bar, comfortable seats, restaurant area, great bar tenders, wait staff! We watched the Bears- Cowboys game here! They had the game playing, which was great. There are 3 Tvs to choose from, then 2 behind us, if you turn around. The Espresso Martini was amazing!! The Dirty Martini was great too! The flavors all flowed together- so perfect!!! The beers were delicious! Great flavors! A great place to enjoy the game, friends, and relax!

“What a great place.”
What a great place. Too bad it wasn't here when I was living and working in downtown Chicago. The service is that of what we see at a Wisconsin Brew Pub (homely and wonderful), with quality food, and....well...the beer is fantastic. Highly recommended to beer lovers and foodies alike.

“Wow the food was amazing.”
Wow the food was amazing. Ordered the smash burger and requested a fried egg on top. Split a side of Mac n cheese. Both were very filling and super worth the price. Specifically, the press of the burger was so juicy and delicious. The service was meh and took a long time between check-ins for refills and our checks.

“I had such a great time at the Sip + Shake Cocktail Class at Industry Ales.”
I had such a great time at the Sip + Shake Cocktail Class at Industry Ales! Walking into The Mill Room felt like stepping into a secret spot in the city, dark, cozy, and full of character. The night started with a welcome toast and some small bites, and then we jumped right into making cocktails. Dan Rook, the co-founder, guided us through everything in such a fun and easy way. I loved learning new tips and tricks, and honestly, tasting the drinks I made myself was the best part! If you’re looking for something different to do in Chicago, this is an amazing experience. Can’t wait to come back!

“Industry Ales is a great brew pub and a welcome addition to the Loop.”
Industry Ales is a great brew pub and a welcome addition to the Loop. Situated just under the el tracks, the atmosphere is great. The beers are tasty and well balanced with good variety. Perhaps the star of the show for me was the smash burger. Perfect, lacey crust, delicious special sauce, and crispy pickles. Amazing! Definitely a new go-to spot for me!

This place is cool. The atmosphere is trendy and pretty. They have a nice variety of beer on tap. The mussels (chefs kiss delicious). The servers were polite but not overly interactive. The next time I am in Chicago , I will definitely coming back.

“If you’re in the South Loop and not stopping at Industry Ales, you’re absolutely missing out.”
If you’re in the South Loop and not stopping at Industry Ales, you’re absolutely missing out. This place is a hidden gem for cocktail lovers, beer enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates next-level hospitality. Let’s start with the star of the night—Jimmy, the amazing bartender who deserves all his flowers! Not only did he create a custom cocktail tailored to my exact preferences (smooth, a little sweet, and balanced), but he also let me try a new drink that’s not even on the menu yet. They haven’t named it yet, but I was even lucky enough to throw out a few fun suggestions. How cool is that? The drinks here are creative, bold, and visually stunning—from beer tastings and frothy pints to the prettiest cocktails you’ve ever seen. Each one had its own vibe and character, and the variety makes it a playground for people who want to explore new flavors. The ambiance is polished but relaxed with a Japanese flair, making it perfect for a casual drink or a date night. The bar itself has a gorgeous stone top and a backdrop that shows off an impressive lineup of liquor and beer taps. They’ve nailed the details without losing the soul of what makes a place like this great—personal connection and authentic service. Whether you’re just grabbing a drink, celebrating something special, or want to taste-test something completely original, Industry Ales is a must-visit. Friendly staff, inventive drinks, and an experience that makes you feel like a regular—even on your first visit. 10/10 – Go for Jimmy, stay for the vibes and the cocktails.

“Went to this location to try some local beers and have some food.”
Went to this location to try some local beers and have some food. The steak frites are crazy good, nice taste/tenderness to the steak and the fries are cooked in beef fat which leaves them perfectly cooked and crisp until you finish the meal. Get a side of the chili aioli for your fries. Steve is a great bartender and has great recommendations on what to try. I enjoyed the Italian pilsner the most- crisp and lightly hopped. The "Out of Focus" hazy is also well above average.

“I only stopped in for beers.”
I only stopped in for beers. What a treat! Excellent brews - a flight then a 10 oz of their Anniversary brew. All beers were really good - the Anniversary one was the standout for me. The staff are all great & super nice. My bartendress, Kelly, was wonderful. Very personable & knows her beer. I'll be back!
