“I’m always here weekends for them tamales de chicharrón. Love coming here, fire variety of tamales and drinks! The culture is rich in here😛”

“best tamales of chicago come and try The cheese and jalapeńo and best hot drinks Sin duda los mejores tamales de rajas con queso. Y su champurrado o arroz con leche tienen tamales de fresa Pińa o ciruela tambien”

“A lot of people in this neighborhood recommend this Tamale Spot (El Senor Tamale) great tasting they melt in your mouth and leave you wondering when should I go back. Yumm. Talk to Elizabeth when you stop in.”

“Honestly one of the best tamales in the city 🫔 Fresh af, moist and flavorful. Kind staff too!”

“Clean kitchen and dining area overall. I’ve been coming here for years, even before! They used to stand outside of the Jimenez store. They used to be very spicy and full of chicken. Now there’s hardly any flavor or protein in them yet prices are insanely expensive, which I get with our current state in food prices. But I’d expect quality to remain the same or even better. The masa is sometimes salty, it’s definitely a hit or miss. The staff is extremely nice which is a plus! But they could do better 💔”

“Tamales have definitely changed through the 20 years. I was really disappointed this time around. Sorry guys cause I love the family. The green were not spicy at all. The masa was super dry. The Rajas had such a bitter taste and were flavorless. The Rajas were rock hard. I miss your mom making the Tamales. Since it's became the store I have seen how the flavor has changed so much. I think mom needs to put her hands back on the Tamales. Sorry guys but probably the last 2 years my Tamales keep getting worse. I don't know if because they are being such mass produced but please have mom taste them and put her touches back on them. Please!”

“I have come here for years. Last few times have been bad. As you can see mostly all masa and very dry. Also I know inflation but it's super expensive now. I got 2 tamales. 1 soda. 1 arroz. $18. 🙄 I will not go back.”

“This are some of the worst tamales I have had, they are so dry and they barely have any filling, the rajas one is extreme dry and way too much dough. I will not purchase here again, this was our 1st time buying from this place and it will surely be the last time.”
“Far as I'm concerned these are the best tamales in the world... unfortunately, the last four times I visited this place the tamales have been horrible if you don't eat meat you may love the tamales it went from no meat to a nice flavored Masa to only a bunch of no flavored Masa so little meat you don't even know what type of tamale it is I've been at various times of the day and I just don't care for these tamales anymore.. I need a new Tamale Place”
“Friendly faces with great service. Tamales are huge! So good not spicy which is to my liking.”
“Tamales deliciosos llenos de sabor y buen tamaño. Lugar limpio y personal muy amable.”
