“As a Puerto Rican who was raised in Humboldt Park I love a new one”
The food is amazing really tasty and authentic , but the reason for the low stars will be the service , the chubby girl with curly hair was too focused on her (live phone call ) from the moment I walked in to the moment I left she couldn’t leave her phone alone .
Food wasn't good had no flavor, the Alcapurrias are made with ground beef The steak jibarito looked good but flavorless n no garlic.
Service was great but food was bad, arroz con gandules had no taste, had to cover it in mayoketchu.

We drove out here just for the food, we were craving some good Puerto Rican food ! It was absolutely worth it! Some of the best Puerto Rican food I’ve ever had. The service was impeccable, the restaurant was very clean, and the owner himself (along with all the staff) made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back!☺️

I had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious dish of mofongo con camarones en salsa at this wonderful El Gustazo Boricua restaurant, and let me tell you, it was an absolute treat. The mofongo was perfectly seasoned—crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and paired wonderfully with the fresh, succulent shrimp. The combination of garlic and butter flavor in the mofongo created a mouthwatering explosion of flavors that took me straight to Puerto Rico. The service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially Leslie (if I remember correctly). She made us feel right at home and took the time to explain the menu and any question I had with a smile. It’s rare to find such excellent customer service, and it really enhanced the dining experience. The restaurant itself was spotless and the atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, making it feel like I was dining in Puerto Rico. From the bright decor to the upbeat music, everything just added to the authenticity of the experience. If you’re in the mood for fresh, flavorful Puerto Rican cuisine, I highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back for another round of mofongo con camarones!! Thank you for your services!!

“I’ve been looking for a good mofongo for years & finally found a place.”
I’ve been looking for a good mofongo for years & finally found a place! Their pinchofongo is a must try! I live an hour away and would definitely come again for it! Food was amazing! **If you are dining in there would be some waiting. It gets busy! We went in a Saturday. The place is small but the atmosphere is great!

As you walk in you are engulfed in a colorful artistic decor and the sound of popular tunes to set the mood. You are greeted and sat down. Our waitress Yara was so sweet and attentive. She recommended some dishes and took our order. I started with a tembleque 🤭😋Everything we ordered was as fresh as can be. The jibarito de bistec was so full of flavor that the picture doesn’t do it justice. The mofongo had a creamy consistency and not dry at all. The steak that came with the dish was full of flavor. The agua de Parcha 👌🏼 had the right amount of sugar and not super sweet. All in all we will be back over and over till we try everything. I’m excited to try their weekend dishes. 👏🏻🙌🏼

“El Gustazo was a great first-time experience.”
El Gustazo was a great first-time experience! Everything tasted fresh, and the menu had a solid variety of options to choose from. Whether you’re in the mood for something classic or trying something new, there’s plenty to pick from. Of course, you can never go wrong with the alcapurrias they were delicious! Definitely a spot worth checking out.

“Absolutely love this place.”
Absolutely love this place. Family owned! They prepare every dish made to order, so it comes to your table freshly made. If you are looking to get served in 10 minutes, then go to a fast food place! The owners take pride and care with every dish they prepare. Portions are very generous too. I will definitely be coming back often.

Feels like I was in the kitchen of my friends mom. Warm and friendly atmosphere with authentic food. Servings were generous and everything was delicious packed with flavor!! I see some comments about speed, but this isn’t meant to be fast food. It was worth the wait for sure 👍🏼
