Fair warning before you buy tickets: this show is very sexual and swears a lot. Do not bring Grandma. Do not bring your conservative Christian parents. Bring your friends who can laugh at inappropriate jokes and enjoy a strong drink. Now that we’re clear, five stars without hesitation. I’m an open-minded adult, and I cannot remember the last time I laughed this hard. The show was wildly unexpected in the best way. So much slapstick. So many chaotic moments. The kind of comedy where you’re still laughing five minutes later because you missed the next joke. They performed Macbeth, and somehow made it unhinged, clever, and completely addictive. The actors were fearless, the timing was sharp, and the crowd energy stayed high the entire night. I walked in curious. I walked out obsessed. I will absolutely be back, and I’m already planning which friends I’m bringing next time. If you like comedy that pushes limits and doesn’t apologize, Drunk Shakespeare Chicago is a must. You’ve been warned. And you’ll thank me later.

Great time for a great price. It’s more comedy/improv than Shakespeare but we had a blast. The theater is small and intimate so we had a great view even from the balcony. Perfect way to spend an evening in the city.

We bought tickets and were excited to see the show. It was advertised as Romeo and Juliet (which our guests knew--I mean, who doesn't?). I had been hoping for "That Scottish Play", which I know well because I had my middle school drama students do a 'mini unit' and create a spook house/maze based on the story. They actually loved it!! Anyway, to my surprise and delight the play for the performance we attended was....drumroll, please...That Scottish Play!!!! The actors were amazing and the Shakespeare text was beautifully delivered! Never in my existence did I expect to laugh and enjoy Mac...as much as I did that night! Improv can be difficult on a good night, but to throw in the Bard is a challenge not for the faint of heart. Thank you Thank you Thank you! If I lived in Chicago (from ABQ), I would attend "Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow..."

9pm show will forever be the one we go to. We've seen things now we'll never unsee. We laughed to the point of tears! The cast is so talented with the ad libbing comedy. We will definitely keep going. (Hopefully the future shows have a far more interested king n queen- they were disappointing scrolling their phones and chatting the whole times).

Went here with a group for Christmas Eve and cannot recommend it enough. The cast is phenomenal and so talented. Show was hilarious and my cheeks still hurt from laughing the full 90 min. Cannot recommend enough. 10/10. No notes. You guys are fantastic - will definitely be back! Also special shoutout to Mac B for absolutely slaying the cape - gold is your color no matter what Libby says! LOL

When I tell you Drunk Shakespeare does NOT disappoint, I mean that! 🍻🎭 We had the absolute best time—watching the play, interacting in the play, and yes… definitely drinking during the play 😂🍹 If you have not had this amazing experience yet, I highly suggest you get to it! We even upgraded to the Royal Experience, and baby… we were the King and Queen of the event 👑✨ It was such a fun, interactive, laugh-out-loud experience.
