Cuckoo — the Korean Fried Chicken anchors this Andersonville chicken spot. This is cooking with real conviction. Good service that doesn't feel rehearsed.

“The breading and lettuce provided a great contrast of fresh and savory crunchiness against the soft and sweet bread, and the sauces, while piquant, never overwhelmed the other flavors of the sandwich”
I hate leaving a bad review for a local spot, but they served me a chicken sandwich that was rubbery and pink.

“GREAT extremely crispy chicken sandwich.”
GREAT extremely crispy chicken sandwich. Loved my milk tea too - got the ancient brown sugar. Not a fan of the slams and beeps continuously coming from the kitchen.

“This is my quiet place when I need some serenity from work.”
This is my quiet place when I need some serenity from work. Happy music is playing, and the entire place is bright yellow with plushie chickens on the tables in yellow buckets. In the employees' downtime, I see them washing the space down and cleaning up. Hand sanitizer is on each table for before or after your meal if you make a mess of yourself. Guilty! I always come for the Korean fried chicken and was just tickled the first time I came in and they served the wings with a pair of gloves to keep your hands clean. At first I thought it was silly and I wasn't going to use them, but then I was like f that! I walked out of that place as clean as a whistle after guzzling down my fried chicken and pickled radish. The Snow onion flavor has a lightweight batter with a peppery sauce. I've never had a cheese cloud before and was obviously intrigued like any American citizen would be. I quickly learned that a cheese cloud is made of cream cheese, whipping cream, milk, and sugar. So duh, who wouldn't like it? There was plenty of crystal boba to get you through the entire drink. The cheese foam is like a special treat at the end, almost like your dessert at the end of a meal.

“I come here after the gym almost every other weekend and I have always left full and happy.”
I come here after the gym almost every other weekend and I have always left full and happy. This is truly a neighborhood small business that is elevating Andersonville with an incredibly welcoming crew. My favorite is the soy garlic sandwich and the Thai boba tea or the strawberry smoothie with lychee. Definitely give this a try if you looking for some tasty and crunchy fried chicken and a sweet drink.

Super fun space that has plenty of seating for lunch or dinner. The staff is really friendly. I had the Japanese rice bowl called Oyakodon with pan friend chicken. Thank you for making my bland Wednesday a little bit more fun!!

“Easily the best chicken sandwich I've ever had.”
Easily the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. I got the soy and garlic sandwich - perfectly marinated, juicy and not oily, the flavour is just divine. Crispy but not overly hard. The portion size is huge, like a whopper, the bread was fresh and yummy. Tip: sandwich takes about 10-15 minutes to make, so if you're not dining in, call ahead to order. I didn't take a photo of the sandwich before I started handling it - hence the unflattering photos. Do yourself a favour and try one. (My bff, a Korean Fried Chicken aficionado, said the coconut curry and plain wings were 🔥🔥🔥)

“I was kinda blown away with this restaurant.”
I was kinda blown away with this restaurant. Starting with food: if you come here for the first time make sure to get the 9 box platter because you get to try each chicken flavor. The chicken is tender and SUPER crispy. They use a different batter that reminds me of tempura batter. The flavors are great as well. I didn't like the honey mustard but liked the others sauces. They have a unique gyro sauce with onions that was great. If you're coming I'd recommend the sweet and spicy (it's less crispy but flavorful), soy (for the more simple flavor), or the one that reminds me of big Mac sauce. The other sides are great as well. My fiance got a Japanese bowl and it was great as well. The pork katsu was crispy and tender and flavorful. Boba is authentic and not too sweet. Now the atmosphere: for something this price it's cute and fun. Bright and hip. Fries may come in a shopping basket looking container. The trays are cute. The lady working there was informative and kind. The food was cooked pretty quickly given they warn you to expect a 15 min wait for chicken wings. You can order through a kiosk as well. Also the place is tiny so if it's peak hours then get food to go. This place has some good value too. I like to compare this place to Crisp (lakeview) or Del Seoul (Lincoln park). I'll be coming back and recommend you at least try the place.
