“The first time I’d gone here, I was initially happy to find good jerk without me having to go to the city. I’d come back 2 more times that first week. Food is amazing. I’ve have the jerk chicken, catfish and today I’m trying the escovitch snapper. This place doesn’t miss. The only time I was disappointed was when there were no more plantains. Then I discovered the garlic potatoes and I always get them as an extra side. Please go it’s so good!”

“Food is delicious and servings are nice size. Cabbage and Mac on point.”

“I got a 1/2 dark jerk dinner, mac and cabbage! Food was phenomenal the perfect level of spice and the customer service was amazing!”
“Food is delicious. Filled with flavor! Catfish has so much flavor. I also loved the corn. Portions are filling. Staff is great”
“Food is amazing. Very authentic Jamaican food. Very great customer service.”
“Food was great! Delicious sides. Chicken was tender juicy and flavorful. Will definitely be stopping by again!”
“Alright my ppl…after living in Evanston and eating authentic Jamaican cuisine, this is the only jerk spot with real rice and peas (not red beans and rice)…I can tell that the chef is using pimento wood and not charcoal like most, perfect flavors for sure on the jerk.…if I had to send a critique, it would be dont cook the cabbage all the way through, this makes it mushy (the texture could improve but the flavors on point) RESPECT and Bless up…until next time!!!! Thank you for coming to Lansing, easily by far the best Caribbean food spot in the south suburbs”
“Good flavors, decent pricing. And will definitely come back for the red snapper! The jerk chicken was great with a grilled smoky flavor that was authentic, even though I didn’t love the gravy because it was a bit acidic. I rate the rice and peas as really good but the cabbage was overcooked and needed a bit of help. Plantain was good and cooked well and tasted ripe. Overall very pleased especially with a new business. I am so happy when new restaurants open and give the community options. However I will say the menu is pretty big and hopefully that doesn’t wear down the operation of the business especially with many of the sides precooked sitting in warmers to be served. Overall, I will be happy to return and try out by other menu items!”
