“Authentic Korean Chinese food that’s been a staple in old Koreatown for decades! What a gem, I highly recommend the Samseon jjamppong and the tangsuyuk!!”

“We ordered from here and it was an awesome find! They have a lot of typical looking dish that I have not tried but I will talk about what I did order. First I got the egg rolls and my wife and I both agreed they were very good. I do think they could use a bit more Chinese five spice or something to make them a bit more flavorful. The chicken with spicy garlic sauce was very delicious and tasted fresh and I loved all the veg they added. A solid Chinese dish. The one thing that is great about this place is they master the Chinese and Korean dishes. The Cha Chiang Mien (Korean jajangmyeon noodles) is a popular dish here and it’s no wonder. It is so decadent and amazing! Loved this so much!!! Also had something very unique and equally amazing and that was Spicy Noodle Platter with shrimp, squid, pork and veggies in a savory spicy sauce. This is really awesome! Probably one of my new favorite Asian dishes. I will try more of their food but this first experience was incredible! Yumm!!”

“Let's start by saying that the food is made to order; which is a huge plus! The portions are quite large, and definitely enough for two people, and to have leftovers. We started with the egg rolls (phenomenal), the main course: beef fried rice, Mongolian beef, and beef LoMein. I don't say this often, but we enjoyed EVERYTHING we ordered. Needless to say, we're excited to try the black bean noodles everyone is raving about!”

“Unpopular but should be popular opinion, Peking Mandarin is the best restaurant in Chicago. I’ve been ordering by takeout from here for the last 8 years and I finally dined in. Takeout has always been exceptionally good and dine in was also. The service was quick and attentive. The owner was so kind and funny. A hidden gem for sure.”

“Wow… if you are craving Jajangmyeon this place is definitely it. As a Korean this feels like the perfect face who wants to eat some good homey food. The service was amazing, she was very attentive and provided such great atmosphere whenever she came by. Definitely will be coming back”

“Good food but they don’t have anymore the dish with plums which was amazing”

“This restaurant perfectly recreates the look of a 1960s old-style jajangmyeon shop. The taste is just like the classic jajangmyeon and really hits the nostalgia factor. Portions are generous, and it’s cash-only.”

“Every dish comes out fast, hot, and perfectly cooked. The servers treat everyone like regulars, and you can tell they care about getting it right without fuss or pretense. Cannot wait to come back. There is an art to their dishes and I can’t wait to work through the menu.”

“TAKEOUT was great! We got the Jjajangmyeon noodles and Family Bean Curd. Both great and easily shareable. We wished the bean curd was spicier than advertised but the flavors were very nice and the marinade was bomb. I think these dishes are also best in person rather than to-go, as the veggies got very soft after a long drive and the Jjajangmyeon was mid temp. Still delicious however after a toss on the stove. Kimchi needs more time to marinade, great to snack on but again- make it spicier!! Overall, we would love to try again.”
