New China | Chinese
New China is a beloved Ukrainian Village hole-in-the-wall for generous, made-to-order Chinese comfort food: regulars rave about the honey shrimp, exceptionally flavorful shrimp or chicken fried rice, wonton soup, vegetables, and empress chicken. Family-owned and unfussy, it’s especially popular for affordable takeout and speedy delivery, though made-to-order orders can take 15 minutes and a few reviewers reported missing sauces or inconsistent food quality.

“Get the shrimp fried rice!!! Wow one of the best (if not the best) I’ve ever had. Insanely flavorful, especially when piping hot. Hot & Sour soup was mediocre, but got the job done. Need to try more!”

“Food was either way oversalted, or just plain drowning in grease. We tried the shrimp egg foo young lunch special, pepper steak, and a chicken chop suey. Two lunch specials will set you back $30 plus. The beef was gristly, the chicken tough and over cooked. The egg foo young was cheap on the shrimp and very salty. The egg rolls were ok. Not a place we will go back to. As often happens, we think the place was sold and everything went downhill.”
“Very kind when they made a mistake. Replaced the drink and let me keep both!”
“Food was great! Got my large order correct no flaws. Healthy portions. Hot and ready too!”
“I'm moving at the end of the month and will miss getting takeout from here. When you want Chinese comfort food it really hits the spot.”
“Honestly my FAVORITE place to order Chinese food from. The honey shrimp is better than any I’ve found in the city and I’ve never been disappointed with a random dish of theirs. An underrated hole in the wall kinda place with such great customer service. Even when ordering delivery it always delivers hot and fresh. Do yourself a favor and TRY THIS PLACE OUT!”
“Great chinese restaurant tasty food fast service, nice atmosphere.woul come back!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟”
“I love the way they cook their vegetables and their fried rice. It is truly a work of art and they serve generously. True Chinese cuisine with Chinese chefs.”
