“First time there and I loved it. The food is delicious and the dumplings take a little while so just order those ahead of time. Everything was better than I expected. Definitely going back”

“So good. I am still thinking about the salad our server recommended. Definitely coming back.”

“I love this place! I came with my family just on a random Wednesday. The waitress and the manager are all super friendly and welcoming! The food is absolutely delicious and reminds me of my home in China (northern style), my favorite is the northern style squid with flavorful sweet and chili sauce! And their dry pot with cauliflower hits the spot! The value is amazing too! Love the price! I would definitely come back!”

“The dumplings here are excellent! The lamb & dill (steamed) are the best on the menu IMO. Also greatly enjoy the pork, chive, and shrimp (pan fried) and beef and onion (pan fried). I come back again and again—highly recommend!”

“The food was steaming hot coming out an so incredibly delicious. I ordered beef fried rice and their three variation dumplings, which had chives, shrimp, and egg. The fried rice had good chunks of beef and was very filling, flavorful, and good portion. The dumplings arrived in a steamer basket and were so juicy, I was making a mess on the table! I did take home leftovers. Very tasty, and a popular place for order pickups while I was here. Dining in vibes are okay. Traditional Chinese decor. Plenty of seating at tables or booths, a cute little fountain by the door, and a TV setup playing gentle romantic music. Waiter was attentive when I arrived and ordered, checked in on me while eating, but I was sitting awhile before I pay and leave. It’s a small-owned place though.”

“DUMPLINGS! This place is awesome; great food, friendly service and some of the most delicious dumplings in Chicago. We had their egg rolls, beef Lo Mein, and Lamb Carrot pan fried dumplings. Everything was flavorful and fresh, and the dumplings were full of meat and super juicy.”

“I ate here by myself because I was in the area running errands. I’m so glad I randomly chose this place. The dumplings are amazing. When I ate the dumplings there at the restaurant they were so crispy and fresh! I even took and order to go to bring back to my kids who also loved it. About two days later I had my husband go back and pick up some more dumplings and this time we tried the garlic chicken and also the shrimp and rice noodles. I’ve had the general tsos chicken, pork shrimp and chive dumplings, shrimp and rice noodles, garlic chicken, green beans and the best is the rice noodles and dumplings, I think that will be my go to order. Staff is also very kind and welcoming to all.”

“The value for quality here is amazing. The dumplings were generously filled. From the texture, I could tell the filling was made with quality meat. The steamed ones were just slightly oversteamed with slightly dried out pleated tops. It wasn't enough to bother me personally but might bother others.”

“It’s a bit outside of Chicago’s actual Chinatown, old Chinatown, and it’s less crowded in this area so it’s not as busy, which is nice because it’s quieter. Parking… you can find it on the street and it’s free on the street on Sundays. Most of the dishes are really decently priced and the servings are good enough. The salt and pepper tofu was slightly battered and very good at $12, the vegetable fried rice $10 was not too oily, but had enough vegetables, including broccoli and it wasn’t too salty, the vegetables w garlic sauce was not good because the garlic sauce was a little bit too thick with Cornstarch so it was gelatinous and a bit spicy. Overall, a good deal for your budget. They are known for their dumplings and they are good. We went another day in July 2025 and repeatedly asked for garlic sauce instead of white sauce for mixed vegetables but despite the waitress speaking English perfectly, the food was a big disappointment bc it was white sauce :-( They have so many garlic sauce dishes so I don’t know why they didn’t substitute it. In addition, the vegetables were only cabbage, carrot, about 2-3 pieces of mushrooms, 3 small broccoli pieces, a random piece of tofu cut up in pieces, onion, celery, green pepper, and lots of oil. I was expecting a nice variety of broccoli, mushroom, snow peas, bamboo shoots, corn, garlic, and watercress. But not here. I won’t eat the mixed veges ever again.”
