“Disclosure: I drove 4 hours before I opened the food so I will not post pictures as they would not do justice to how delicious it was and how much better it would have looked fresh. My wife has been obsessed with this restaurant after seeing how they responded to bad reviews by printing them on the to-go bags! I was on my way back to Wisconsin from Indianapolis and placed an order while in traffic, iykyk. Order was being bagged when I got there 1 minute before the estimated time! I asked if I could have some extra napkins or something to help keep it fresh for the ride home and she happily repackaged the order in separate insulated bags and said it would be super hot but it would be as fresh as possible so my wife got the best experience she could! That alone was worth 10 stars for me. This location is pickup only so you wouldn’t expect much atmosphere… the outside is amazing and the pickup area is also well decorated! When I finally got home we opened the bags and found the famously adorable packaging, my wife was so happy and it warmed my heart so much. Even after the long drive the food was warm, delightfully spicy and absolutely delicious! This will be a regular stop when we are in Chicago! Thank you so much for making my wife so happy to see me after a trip 😁”

“AMAZING! I got super craving for spicy soup dumplings cuz my friend sent me a pic of this from Chengdu at night (b*tch🥲 that was a long night) . So I ordered from Damaojia immediately when I work up this morning, since they re one of the most authentic Szechuan restaurants I know in Chicago. No disappointed at all! This is the flavor I ve been craving! Happy!!! Hi”

“I really like this restaurant. I order from here a lot just wish the portion is bigger”

“Absolutely delicious!! It was super easy to pick up and the packaging is so cute. Wonton soup was yummy but so much food (not complaining ahah)! Definitely recommend splitting with a friend so you can try more things. Really fast and employees were nice :)”

“I enjoyed the meal served here. The restaurant setting is so beautiful from inside-out. Service, bowl and cups is so aesthetically designed. The take-out bowls, plastic bags and eating utensils are topnotch. Customer service is very satisfactory. Location and view is strategic. If you are dining you need to pay for parking. However, this place is worth seeing for yourself... I will be visiting again for sure...”

“I was a bit reluctant at first because my palette does not do well with spicy food, but immediately after I ordered online they called me to accommodate with a less spicy dish. Top notch customer service in my opinion. I was also shocked to know that my food was ready for pickup within 10 minutes ! Enough about all that, let’s get down to what everybody wants to hear, the taste ! The red oil on the handmade zhong dumplings gave it a very unique and savory flavor. Also, the beef was a nice and hearty compliment to the noodles and broth. The broth had a nice little kick to it which wasn’t overwhelming whatsoever. 100% would order from here again.”

“I recently ordered takeout, and while the packaging was impressive with the Panda logo and professional presentation, the food didn’t fully meet my expectations. It might have been due to the delivery time, but the fried chicken, which I expected to be crispy and flavorful, arrived a bit cold and was unfortunately dry and tough to chew. Some of the other dishes were over-seasoned, masking the natural taste of the meat with too much sauce. However, I did enjoy the beef in spicy soup with white rice. The flavors blended well and reminded me of the authentic taste I had in China. Overall, it’s worth trying if you’re looking for something different, but there’s room for improvement, especially with certain dishes.”

“As an ABC, this is probably my favorite chinese restaurant in bridgeport at the moment. Food is very authentic and tasty. Definitely on the expensive side. I absolutely love and always get the pig feet. The noodle soup is pretty good. I also love their desserts! The dou fu hua (pictured) is one of the best tasting chinese desserts I've had. Two things I wish were different, and then this would be 5 stars: 1) The packaging is cute, but non-microwaveable and not re-usable. I wish they would transition to environmentally friendly packaging. 2) There has not been dine in to my knowledge for a couple years now. I've wanted to bring family/friends here for ages now, and would love to be able to walk over as we live in the neighborhood. Also, I will note, do not eat here if you have a peanut allergy. Even the non-peanut dishes have traces of peanut according to my allergic significant other.”

“Ordered through UberEATS. My first time ordering from here.. Had the Golden Fried Pork, beef noodle soup and Chengdu mixed veggies and proteins hot pot. I wished the food was hot but it was warm. It was still flavorful. I may try it again for dine in or pick up.”
