Ordered salt&pepper shrimp, ribs with black bean sauce, vegetable chop suey, fried rice and kani sticks appetizer which I LOVED!! I’m just a sucker for kani and this was deep fried and breaded. I don’t know if that is a thing now but it’s 👌🏻. Everything else was excellent except for the veggie dish which was filled with mung bean sprouts which I loathe. Would have preferred if the chop suey was more green than white.

My son and I decided to try something new. On the recommendation of one of his school mates, we decided on #1Chop Suey, just across the street from their school. First and last time we take that kid’s advice. The beef was rubbery, the chicken was dry, and the shrimp had… personality. The part that was really stunning was how bad the fried rice was. How can you be a Chinese restaurant and not be able to at least make adequate fried rice?

This place's ratings were very high, so I was excited to give it a shot. The Lobster Cantonese was extremely disappointing, just a few shriveled pieces of overcooked lobster meat in a sea of broth. For 13 dollars, that's more than overpriced. I spent $25 on a takeout order and also tipped, and got maybe a $15 value.
