“Incredible dim sum here and Sichuan food. We had soup dumplings, shrimp dumplings, string beans, and spicy wok chicken. Everything was really good.”

“The cumin lamb, fried chili fish, green beans, and zhong's dumplings are our favorites, but this is another place where everything we've ever had here (which is a lot) is great. Excellent for take out food but I'd also recommend eating here as the noodle and any of the fried dishes are better in person. Also a very kid friendly place.”

“Actually quite impressed! They truly delivered on all three dishes: the lamb, pork, and green beans. Definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants I’ve been to in Chicago (dare I say best??) The pork was excellent: spicy, the right balance of rich and tender, and the green beans were a classic with great flavor as well. The fact that we polished off all three dishes as two people is a testament to the quality of the food here! Will definitely be coming back - even the visual presentation of the food was quite nice.”

“I only came here for the soup dumplings and they did not disappoint !”

“Chengdu Impression in Wicker Park is a standout for authentic Sichuan cuisine! From the moment you step in, the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming. The dishes are packed with bold flavors and the perfect balance of spice and depth. Highlights include their mouthwatering spicy hot pot, dim sum, tender mapo tofu, and the addictive dan dan noodles along with dry chengdu chili chicken. The spice level can be adjusted to your preference, but even the mild options deliver incredible flavor. Service is friendly and efficient, and the food arrives fresh and fast. If you’re craving true Sichuan flavors in Chicago, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommended!”

“Great food, no frills service but they get it done. Ordered the Dan Dan Noodles, spicy pepper chicken, and string beans. Would definitely recommend.”

“Comfort Chinese food that’s authentic and large in portion size. Spice level was good and tasty! Casual interior atmosphere for a chill dinner.”

“Spicy, salty and just the amount of oil. Exactly what was needed for the hangover. Some of the best Chinese dishes I've had”

“Decent but not impressive. I think the flavor is twisted for Americans (much sweeter less spicy)”

“Casual and pleasant atmosphere. However, the food was very mediocre. The served shrimp shumai did not come anywhere close to the pictures that were shown in the menu (traditionally covered in a yellow wrap) and are most likely frozen (ones you’d find in a market freezer). The service was alright - took a bit to flag down our server to get our water refilled and get the check… Tl;dr food did not impress. Will not go back”
