The food was amazing. Fresh and hot. The only thing I would say is to check your food before you leave.
I usually don't eat at jerk restaurants because the majority of the food is spicy and I'm do not like spicy food.
This jerk chicken is delicious. I tried it for the first time today, and it's delicious. The prices are affordable.
My last review was 4 years ago.Today I had all sides only platter rice/ beans with extra gravy, cabbage, mac and cheese, plantain and white bread. My daughter had Red Snapper she enjoys it each time.We were talking and came to the conclusion the food taste the same(Delicious) each time.We have been eating from here since they had an open kitchen I remember seeing crockpots a long time ago.

“On another note, the young lady that answers the phone to take orders is very pleasant which is exactly what this place needed”
My oxtail dinner came with ONE (1) Fatty oxtail and 3 small bones. I was to far away to take it back.
Decent food usually but, they have no concept of time. Do not order from them unless you have the time to wait!
I haven't been in Jamaican Gates and many years but I still hope choosing them after New Year's would be a good sign it was and it wasn't it said how black owned businesses have to skimp sometimes on servings to make friends meet and stay in the black however there are certain things about food and service that cannot and will not be ignored by me no matter what I ordered a small jerk catfish dinner which includes three pieces as far as sides go you're supposed to get as advertised in a catfish dinner red beans plantains as well as your choice of cabbage or greens apparently I don't know what the plural of planktons are or they don't understand what a side portion should be I opened up the plate in the restaurant making sure that it was to my satisfaction since I hadn't been there in so long and it surely wasn't the red beans and rice were there the fish was there the Cabbage was there however on the side where Plankton should be that was absolutely nothing but spilled over red beans and rice sauce and on top of the Cabbage was one little lonely plantain to which I brought the plate back up to the front and ask the young lady while the plantains were missing and she said that's all you get in the order is just one as I said before I understand doing things for economic reasons but I find it quite trifling that you couldn't do three I would have complained that it was a small amount of sides but it would have still counted as a side to me CNS it would have been plural which is more than one lonely plantain and it seems as if there was no caring about it considering the fact that it wasn't even on its one side by itself it was set on top of the cabbage like it was such a deliberate cheap move on their part I told the young lady that I didn't agree with that and I understood that she may not have control over things like that but I did want to let her know that I found that a little trifling on their part to advertise that as a side and only serve one she took my statement in stride and I left wish them well but I won't be back anywhere that will probably serve me lies will only take advantage of getting my money once I'm on an extremely fixed budget so this hurt.

I usually don't eat at jerk restaurants because the majority of the food is spicy and I'm do not like spicy food. But while here in Chicago visiting we did stop here they have lots of items on the menu that were not spicy. I ended up with the chicken stew with red beans and rice and cabbage and all I can say is omg this food is so damn good! I would have loved to leave a picture of the actual food itself but because I didn't think about it and I was hungry and I went in on this food I'm just going to leave a picture of what I still have left. Lol

Oxtail dinner with Mac & cheese , Yams , red beans & rice and delicious potato slice bread...plus 1 plantain slice...Was so delicious and well worth $26..the only thing that I would recommend is more gravy on meat. But they have the best Oxtails in area.

“First time eating here.”
First time eating here. Ordered off uber eats. Got half a jerk chicken and pasta. The jerk chicken 10/10 fresh, seasoned great, hot. The pasta was good a little too spicy for me. But nonetheless still good. Will be eating here again.

“The oxtail dinner was DELICIOUS!!”
The oxtail dinner was DELICIOUS!!! Some of the wings were burnt, but they still were tasty. The plate came very messy and there was juice leaking everywhere (I cleaned it up as shown in picture). The oxtails were good portion sized for it to be a small. The food overall was definitely flavorful… I’ll eat here again.

“I ordered off of uber eats.”
I ordered off of uber eats. It was a nice price but the food is just ok. I stopped eating 10 minutes in and started thinking what can add to make it good lol (that's when I took the pic). It did three job but I know better spots

“Good food, portions have gone down, prices have gone up.”
Good food, portions have gone down, prices have gone up. A large oxtail dinner 3-4 oxtails is $16, a small oxtail dinner 2-3 oxtails is $13. Who eats just 2 oxtails? 🤦🏾♀️

My friend girl , got pans of food from here for her Birthday on a Wednesday(reason food may have been the bomb). I was here 11/12/22 and our order(my fiancé) tasted nothing like we had a couple weeks ago at my friend house. The cabbage today overcooked and the chicken charred and taste more like it was grilled. They don't advertise a price list" THAT IN ITSELF , SHOULD OF HAD ME RUNNING." You order and have a price tag of $15.95 for a container of trash

“Portion was lackluster.”
Portion was lackluster. They opt to keep the oxtail pieces big instead of cutting them in smaller pieces (as they should) . They clearly cater to Americans and not islanders. Because if you know better and grew up on Jamaica then this is trash. It look like somebody already ate from my plate. This is supposed to be “large”. You might as well come to FLORIDA or JAMAICA TO GET THE REAL DEAL.
