“The people there were extremely helpful in planning my order and everyone on set was so happy with the food”
After having many Trinidadian experiences, this Cafe was the worst.
Disappointing. As one of the limited options in Chicago for cuisine from Trinidad, I was expecting much more.
Man!!!!!👎🏽 I don't know what they doing in here but them doubles look like rolled up tortillas and for the price of it, I feel like I'm getting robbed.

“I ordered their chicken lunch special.”
I ordered their chicken lunch special. The chicken was delicious and falling off the bone. The plantine was good. The rice was okay. I’d definitely try them again.

“Authentic Taste of Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹.”
Authentic Taste of Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹. Made fresh to order. Delicious curry taste. Boneless options. The curry chicken roti was tasty, fresh and smooth. The curry lamb roti was delicious.

“I ordered a Curry Goat Roti from this place via Door Dash and it was very good.”
I ordered a Curry Goat Roti from this place via Door Dash and it was very good. We often have Curry Goat Roti’s when visiting St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands and this was very similar. So happy we found this place, I’ll be ordering it again when I have a craving.

“I'm from Trinidad, so I wanted to try them.”
I'm from Trinidad, so I wanted to try them. Food wasn't exactly like Trini food but it was worth trying especially since you don't get it out here.

It was ok . A little disappointed cause nobody to helped at the computer And I got the food. No fork, knife napkins, very small portion for the price. I paid . no hot sauce. Nothing I had to go to the counter and complain. . If I am around the neighborhood, I will go again cause I love Caribbean food, I can cook delicious food .lol but I don’t want to cook for my self but will not make a trip for it to 🇹🇹🇹🇹to .I seriously wanted to give it 2 1/2 👍

“The Callalo was very salty.”
The Callalo was very salty. The food was very underwhelming and they barely put any plantains as a side. I got curry goat bowl and there was a lot of bone. Definitely won’t be driving 45 min to the city for this stuff. I was happy to have childhood food again but was left disappointed. For what your paying they skimp you out a bit.

Disappointing. As one of the limited options in Chicago for cuisine from Trinidad, I was expecting much more. What I got tasted like microwave frozen dinner. There is nothing I could really recommend.

“I love the doubles from here, ordered qith a side of curry chicken and some roti with shrimp.”
I love the doubles from here, ordered qith a side of curry chicken and some roti with shrimp. Honestly, so many things on the menu are amazing. There's only 2 trini places in Chicago, so I'm glad both taste authentic. I need this place to stay open forever.

“I order doubles from here every so often and they never disappoint.”
I order doubles from here every so often and they never disappoint. All of the chutneys are so yummy and flavorful. I also love how spicy everything is. I recently tried the jerk chicken egg roll and it was delicious. I studied abroad in Trinidad when I was in college and I miss it all the time. It's nice to get a small taste here in Chicago!
